Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ to reuse same old 10MP selfie cams

No plans for sensor upgrades on the front-facing cams for the S22 series.

Another proof, that you don't need a crippled premium phone. Any midranger like A52s will do just fine. And you'll save a ton of cash.

          How many MP do you need for selfies, really? Turn the phone around if you need to upload pictures of your skin pores to Instagram.

            Imo that's ok! They should focus more on software.

            Hopefully that will keep the price down as well.

They looked artificial, heavily manipulated and colors were off from the reality as if photoshopped compared to images taken by phones of any other companies. Furthermore, lens flare on Apple phones is crazy.

                    if the lens is 22mm, the viewfinder toggle can switch between 22-26mm.26mm mode should be OK of portraits without distorsion. current toggle switches between 26-30mm.

                          wider FOV is nice thing, but remember then using more wide angle lens - the distortions also is not considered ok for portraits :))

                            I think it's a good idea. It'll make them focus on other sections of the phone instead of just bumping up those camera every year. I believe Samsung in on right track 🚛

                                    Tbh, 10MP is more than good enough for me when it comes to selfies and wefies. After all, Samsung can give 4K video recording to it, and not many smartphone makers do that. I'd rather see a secondary ultrawide camera on the front. It's a feature I really use a lot on my LG V50 when I'm with my family and my friends.

                                      It's all about the quality of the pictures!

                                        I mean, S21 series had a good selfie camera, so why would this be a problem? If anything they could improve the algorithms a bit, but at least the sensor itself was fine.
