Exynos 2200 to have 30% higher peak, 20% higher sustained performance than the 2100

11 November 2021
And it will score much higher than the current Snapdragon 888 in 3DMark Wild Life.

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2021No, Pixel aggressively limits performance. Don’t blame coolingPixel using cheap cooling copper chambers,.

The Sony Pro uses 2x double chambers copper cooling at £80 cost buying them, while all others use cheap £20 , no wonder the s889 throttling. You blame Snapdragon instead off phone manifutres. Use your commo sense brain.

For daily tasks, you really don't need more raw performance and speed vs the 2100, but a chip designed for better efficiency should be beneficial for everyone. The snap 888 and Exynos 2100 are crazy inefficient.

I get no throttling at all, I have the options too alter change and use 4 high cores running or all 8 cores at maximum or whatever suits me too run.

Time for smartphone manufacturers to implement active fan cooling systems in their phones... it's inevitable.

Using the Red Magic 6s Pro (Snap 888+) has definitely shocked me, heavy gaming did not make the phone hot

Although there are downsides like potential water and dust resistance lost, perhaps they can figure out how to seal off these ports with a cover sliding mechanism when not gaming.

All of Snapdragon's good chips are under the 765G. Everything above is trash. What you said is true: neither bad, nor good. And this 2200 is built (or being built, to be precise) to improve on that aspect of the chipset.

So, it has the same problem than Exynos : unability to sustain performances.

                          Exynos 2100 wasn't able to sustain performances with one Cortex X1, a G78mp14 @854mhz and Samsung's 5nm
OK we are Google ! We are gods...we ask Samsung to put 2 Cortex X1, a G78mp20@848mhz pushes cache to 916Mhz keep the same process...thinking camping it Tensor instead of Exynos will solve all problems...it's just...stupid.
It's not even necessary to be an engineer to see the problem!

Curious, 12 Nov 2021Since when? Idk about the best claim, but as owner of S21U i can confirm that it's completely comparable to snapdragon 888. It may have worse performance than 888 but doesn't heat nearly as much as MI 11 ultra for comparison which leads me to make conclusion that exynos is actually better than 888 in heavy workloads during a longer period of time. And idk about it's predecessor but I don't have any battery drain or bad battery life in any means. So maybe it is not the best but it's not trash either 🤔

In my region we are forced to buy Exynos only phones that died due to overheat thats why I will never buy another Exynos if Snapdragon is unavailable I'd rather go Mediatek or if not banned Kirin.

Nvidia has been using their architecture in mobile devices for some time, the Shield series and of course the Nintendo Switch.

It seems reasonable that AMD might want to get in the mobile game somehow, just remember that Nvidia are looking to buy ARM, but they are planning to allow there's to operate the same.

I believe that Nvidia want arm to help progress their mobile chips, which are used in a lot of modern cars.

It's not the Xbox One Series but the Xbox Series X/S that have RDNA 2 architecture.

But mobile market is different than pc market.
Majority of the pc users study more or less (at least take help from his/her friends or colleagues before buying new device.
But majority of the mobile users do not follow this path.
Thay just follow their heart (read subconscious mind heart). Marketing division of mobile OEM's know this very well & according to their advice, management force their R&D/Engineering division to develop all of those fancy gimmick features to attract more user.
Lot of people willing to pay double or more for a mobile device if it can run Ray tracing capable games for few minutes & than throttle back itself as well as disable Rat tracing.
