Biggest shame is we have 3 phones in family redmi 9t and poco m3 they are all dead now after official and stable ota updates during reboot even they are in Warrnty period. Some mobiles even cannot boot just after rebooting the device. Company should provide good quality software instead of bricking customer devices. This has never happened with any other brand with me

For the same price the Redmi k40 offers: Amoled (LCD on G100), 120hz (90hz on G100), 256/8 Option (only 128/6 on G100), stereo speaker, 33W Quickcharge (20W on G100), Gorilla Glass 5, (G100 = no info). Xiaomi is well known for an "okay" upgrade policy, Motorola is not.
The Motorola G100 instead has a better main camera, Micro SD and headphone Jack.
Moto also has to fight its own fight. Motorola Mobility was once sold to Google, then to Lenovo and is now just a shadow of what it once was. Also, many people outside Asia won't support Motorola anymore since it is now chinese. (whereas people dont seem to care that xiaomi always been chinese...it's weird!)

Xiaomi, Realme and Oneplus had some great deals for singles day so no surprise to see them doing well in the sales in different categories. Interestingly the new Redmi note 11 pro did not sell as well as the note 10 pro or note 9 pro though. Kind of surprising to see honor do well as they had very limited discounts.

Motorola is a tiny brand and is basically new to China this year. They have virtually zero marketing. Xiaomi is a well established brand. Similarly though Xiaomi can't compete with Apple in the flagship segment. Not too many business people and professionals want to be seen with a Xiaomi phone in major Chinese cities. It used to be all Huawei and Apple but now, with the restrictions on Huawei, Apple has almost no competition in the high end flagship sector. Brand image plays a huge role

They make same or similar phones, but they are always worse than those from parent company for some reason. They are sort of Xiaomi, but crappier. Their phones are affordable and they seem to be affordable for a reason.

Price, dis... moreI need to install Gcam on my Poco X3. The default software is super trashy in consistency.
Too many times i tried to take picture and i get 3~4 second delay before the app taking the damn image.
Poco skin of MIUI is somehow quite a lot worse and definitely buggier than default MIUI that i use in my Redmi Note 5 ai.

Poco F3 is still my phone of the year for me.
Price, display, design, build quality, nfc, haptics, and for cameras just install gcam. While the battery, software, charging are fine.
Wish the next Redmi K50 or Poco F5 have
1. 12 MP Ultrawide
2. Don't use the oven heater Snapdragon 888 or 898
3. More 5G bands
4. Headphone jack
5. Microsd slot
