This is why just lower tier variants may use D2000, like X80 Pro while 80 Pro+ has SD898.

it is not necessary for a phone chasing 1500/4500 number.
Score 1100/3700 is already good enough to run heavy editing apps and play games with HD settings.

So this will be the last flagship 8** series soc.
Hope the next series will use Nuvia technology fabricated using TSMC with atleast 40% improvement over 898, better efficiency and stability.

Wow, that's a quite jump in gpu number. Adreno 730 from 660 i think. Despite having just 1200-1300 single core score while 888 could achieve up to 1100-1180
