Microsoft wants to attract that segment of people who have got bored with PS joysticks and want colorful, vibrant and personalized ones. Just the case of Apple and Samsung. Apple sells well (even their infamous Polishing cloth sells well) whereas Samsung tries to pull customers who want more than an iPhone (a Z Fold, for instance).

                This is something I've always liked about Xbox. It seems Sony are too lazy or d.umb to make this kind of customization to their controllers.
