I could paste that as a response for every reply you make because it is impossible to describe your thought process as logical.
Let me prove my point. TCL tried to undercut Samsung with a plastic Flip with a smaller outer screen, wider aspect ratio, a mid-range chipset, similar hinge, and several other downgrades; and the lowest MSRP they could tack on it was $800.
If Samsung had given the Flip 3 flagship camera, removed the crease, added 65W charging, 16GB RAM, and used 2nd gen under-display cameras so it was perfect; it would have cost $1199 to $1299. It would have been the perfect storm for TCL who will then release their cheaper Flip clone at a $400-500 discount and outsell the Flip 3.
Instead, Samsung made the Flip 3 imperfect but compelling enough at a $999 price ($200 higher than TCL's MSRP) and TCL had to cancel their launch after sending out review units. Checkmate!
Most of you moaning about compromises on Samsung's Foldables are just waiting for Samsung to perfect the form factor so prices of components fall and the Chinese can then produce cheap stuff (with compromises) that you can afford. Well, thankfully, you'll be waiting a long time; as you aren't Samsung's target market.
I have a Fold 3, and as much as I want upgrades, I fully understand why Samsung has to drip feed upgrades. Keep waiting for the cheap Chinese Foldable clone. And since you believe it's easier to make a cheaper clone today to undercut Samsung, I'll advice you send your resume to TCL, Xiaomi, Oppo and co that are struggling to do just that.
Now you can see why I didn't want to waste my valuable time debating you.

When Samsung releases a perfect Fold, prices will be lower by that point. Right now prices are high. So, it's easier to undercut Samsung right now compared to later on. It won't be easy to undercut Samsung significantly because foldable costs a lot more to manufacture and much marketing is also needed along with IP certification which is a must.
Meanwhile, Samsung foldable is imperfect now so consumers won't mind just getting cheaper imperfect foldable from Xiaomi etc, whereas in the future when Samsung has a perfect foldable and competitors is still imperfect, consumers can easily justify paying a bit more for Samsung.
I'm sorry you don't have basic logic.

Samsung phones are never perfect same as other companies
Plus Samsung isn't a name in the flagship era
Still 90% of people who want to pay more than 700$ go for iphone
Fold and flip are just a concept-ish phones good for someone who wants a new technology but mostly avoided from average costumers
Basically I think Xiaomi can get the flip market from Samsung if they release a flip with SD778+ and under 500$
But I still want Samsung to make a real time fold/flip flagship but I think they're just enjoying winning a race where no any other cars arrived

Why do people buy these kind of foldables where you'll be left crying if anything happens to your extremely vulnerable, costly and hard to repair (phablet). (tbh too much for a phone).

Wait for the Fold with S-Pen slot and wider front display. If you have a 3, no reason to get the 4. These companies don't change it up every year. More like every 3 to 4 generations now.

What is stopping those companies from releasing a compromised foldable right now to undercut the Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 ??
In fact, releasing now would be better since price of Samsung foldables are still very high and they still have compromises so consumers will see Samsung foldables are much more expensive but still have compromises, so why not just buy the other foldables instead.
Releasing compromised foldables once Samsung has perfected theirs makes no sense, Samsung won't increase the price even if they put more features instead they will decrease it especially for Fold, so the price difference between Samsung foldables and others would be less now unless other companies want to just break even which would be a waste of their resources since developing any level of foldable is not easy, but this time Samsung's foldables will be perfect and much better than the competition, so consumers will think okay the price difference is not that high, but Samsung foldables are much better, it's worth it to get Samsung foldable.

Samsung will be stup*d to improve the Fold... moreReality check: TCL was all done shipping devices all over the world to compete with the Flip3, with a device they thought would destroy the price of the Flip 3. All plastic fantastic BOE trash through and through. Samsung launched the Flip3 at sub 1,000 bucks and TCL immediately cancelled the launch and recalled all the review units. Samsung is going all in, they are cramming things in there that are years ahead of what the competition can deliver and they're doing it at prices not even Chinese forced labour camps can compete with. That is what a decade of R&D gives you over a year of copypasta.

Considering that the current S Pen is way different than the previous EMR-type S Pen like in the Galaxy Note series, I'm still wondering if there is even a space to put one in the first place.
