AnonD-731363, 21 Nov 2021Man you funny. I understand yu dont like meditek for many... moreI didn't say I don't like MT powered stuff, I said I don't care whats inside my phones as long as the battery capacity and endurance is good enough, the screen is of good quality and it does its job.
I never said I hate MT, I also don't hate SD or Apple, or weirdly even Sammy, stuff....I truly don't care enough about the insides to check.

if it does what I want, which is 2 days between charges and doesn't toast my thighs or palms , then I'm happy

MagicMonkeyBoy, 21 Nov 2021Wonder if Qualcomm are sweating over this... Seriously folk... moreAmd / exynoss partnership will pass snapdragon before snapdragon can catch apple bionic chips tbh. Amd is killing it atm and everyone want there tech in a laptop these days . Intel only just keeping up but needs 2x the power requirements while running as hot as an oven with half the battery life 😎.

I understand yu dont like meditek for many obvious reasons but this isnt same mediatek like in past. Slow laggy and not goo or worth to have.
They exceeded expections ofbasic consumer and nowdays are on par or even better than competition because for much less money everybody gets a lot better CPU and GPU.
Competition isnt reliable today because they are too expensive and costly.

Yuri84, 21 Nov 20218k at 120 hz? Sweet! So this same chip can do 4k at 480hz,... moreNo, there is no TV that supports 4K at 480 Hz.

Ftu, 21 Nov 2021Tvs don't need much processing. Even 4 a53 can do 4k4k is processed by gpu or dedicated media decoder not cortex A53 cpu, cortex A53 is not smooth for daily activities thats why most tv lag a lot, faster storage and atleast big core needed for smooth operation. Thats why lot of people buy external tv box or htpc.

Wonder if Qualcomm are sweating over this... Seriously folks... Both mediatek and Qualcomm are going to make Apple silicon very very concerned. This is the year... That mediatek and Qualcomm overtake apple silicon... And even die szie per single core score... Remember that the Droid single cores are 30% smaller in die size than Apple silicon. But seriously. Apple is not as good as one perceives apple to be... This year we are in for a shock. Android in every way including SoC etc will be way ahead or at least ahead of Apple... As usual. But the SoC's... Wow. A15 killers...

Sony 1iii uses 700ppi per inch, beyond unbelievable unbeatable

Vikass17, 21 Nov 2021GSMArena , Why so late to the party ?Same thing I've been saying they omit coverage on phones like the AGM glory series, and post some stuff super late

Not sure if it division of labor thing issue or what not sure

Ftu, 21 Nov 2021Tvs don't need much processing. Even 4 a53 can do 4kUnfortunately, they do. And that's because of the resource consuming OSs manufacturers put on their TVs. I am sick of my Android TV showing lags even when switching the channel. They need to do better. And it's sad to see that MediaTek did not even mention their CPU configuration, which makes me think that it is still some underpowered product.

                            AVS3 not VS3, and even AV1 codec

                              8k at 120 hz? Sweet!
So this same chip can do 4k at 480hz, right? That would be fantastic for PC gaming! Double that and add a bit on top and we'll reach 1000hz, arguably the "perfect" refresh rate for any computer-related imaging (like, moving pictures that look like a real window instead of an easy to tell monitor, at least in small enough size where you cannot tell between two individual pixels, and with fast enough refresh that only OLED can reach at the moment).

Now if we only had actual hardware that could render games in 4k at 1000 fps and would not create as much heat as a 1000+W room heater... and a TV that could show 4k at 1000hz (something tells me LG's OLED is pretty darn close to that point, I'm pretty sure they can do 4k at 240hz any time now... when there are cables that support it and hardware that can render at that speed).

AnonD-731363, 21 Nov 2021Looks gruesome. Competition will have a hard days, weeks,... moreYou only say that because you are a MT fanboy, yet you don't like other people being fans of other things that you don't like.
                                  Double standards hey ?

and it always happens where one company brings something out that temporarily the best on paper, then someone else brings something "slightly" better out to market.

It's just a circle of companies chasing each others tails, and only fanboys like you try to kick up a fuss about it, whereas most of us don't care

I didn't get why the author of gsmarena preferred not to mention AV1 codec support, i've needed to go to reference link to see support status.

Hope they bring that same fire to their mobile chips update cycles.

the specs sound impressive. I look forward to seeing reviews.
