PixelFan, 22 Nov 2021Fantastic, another midranger drops the friggin' headph... moreIf the Pixel would have the SD card slot and the 3.5mm jack I would have bought it. But it looks like I'm going for Sony as my next phone, the only brand left to have these 2 features on a HIGH-END phone. I'm not interested in midrange phones.

Guys, I understand phones are tablet level nowadays, but 6.2 still isnt "compact", a compact phone is something like the Pixel 4A, anything that's all screen and above 6 inches is too large to be called compact.

Looks good, but the 778 would make it probably hot. I'm not a fan of hot smartphones. Mediatek generally makes chips coolers, no throttling and safer. I'm a fan of 800U and 900; the latter already a bit on the hot side.

Fantastic, another midranger drops the friggin' headphone jack.
I know not to expect much out of flagships which kinda set the norm for dropping features and then having their marketing team convince you on how that's a good thing. But with established midrangers that have historically continued to carry these features this comes as a shock.
I am aware of the convenience of TWS buds and I don't disagree. But I have earphones plugged in for almost the entire day and this is only possible if I don't have to be constantly thinking about their battery. None of the reasonably priced TWS buds from reputable brands have good batteries (in my experience). Type-C to 3.5mm dongle are a pain to deal with, hence why I stuck to mid-rangers till now. With Samsung and Google deciding to drop support, I guess I'll seek a different brand (again).

Enough google, fix the problem on pixel 6.. that's a flaghsip, not an entry level phone and you released a mid range with more problems?

Almost bought the 5a, but will wait for this one.
Judging by the size battery should be around 4000 mAh.

6.2 is too big, also the width is a bit large at 71+mm
Google, you need 6 inch screen, 69 mm width and sub 8mm thickness.
There is a big market for people with small hands (not only women) for which 6, s21, iphone 13 is too big

if they will produce a compact phone, it has to be a flagship, not a midranger.

Minimal bezels or not... Only ten years ago a phone with a 4.2'' screen was considered massive (in my case the Xperia Arc S). I miss physically small phones...

Compact phones are good. But stock android is boring and full of issues.
