So it took them 13 years and 12 ittertions of Android for them to figure out people want an extra folder for private photos? On Samsung you can copy any app into the "secure folder", and they had this for years.

Cloud storage ... moreI tend to agree somewhat with that, but until more mid-rangers put fricking USB 3.0/3.1 and/or microSD slot, it's kinda pointless to keep transferring large amount of files ever so often and wait hours for it to transfer, bcoz OEMs cant see the huge gap b/w UFS 2.1/UFS3.1 and USB 2.0!!
One reason I got 256GB storage on my recent bought phone is so that I dont have to transfer very often but when I do I'm stuck with USB 2.0 since it doesnt have mSD slot too!
But I disagree with the work files think, colloborative working is only possible on cloud files

Why would anyone want to use Google photos?
Cloud storage is for technical illiterates. No normal person with basic technical skills would ever use it. Especially work files.
