I don't care about this. Only idiots processes payments through phones. As long as they don't get money from me, I don't care. I never even really have to buy 'paid' Android apps. Oh, the beauty of Android.

Well at least we know about this but what about the millions that just buy phones and don't care about visiting forums etc, the devices mentioned must number about 100 million globally, Samsung need to push patches for this asap, as many will be unaware they're even vulnerable. And not rely on XDA although apparently Chainfire has bought the thread to Samsungs attention.

This exploit must be done through an app, a webpage is not enough, so dont sideload apps until you have a patch, thats all you need to do to be safe. Most of us dont sideload apps anyway, and we dont install Play Store apps with much less than 4 stars, i doubt an exploit app that made it to the Play Store will get 4 stars, right...

Android has too many issues. Reason why I left to iOS and then Windows Phone.

I think S2 has a pretty good battery performance, but when it was updated to 4.0.4, it consumes battery during stand-by mode.So that must be it. The ICS 4.0.4 version surfaces the issue. Is there anyone who has the same problem? please help.

Which means they didn't found out about that until just recently. So NOW, your S2 and Note2 are vulnerable to attacks.

can antivirus apps like Avast handle such malware issues? should we really need to install such fix? I currently own a Samsung S3 still running ICS.
