Oppo mentioned merging ColorOS and OxygenOS to streamline software update, so it would be counterproductive to maintain both ColorOS and OxygenOS. But judging by the messy OxygenOS 12 on Oneplus 9 and 9 Pro, it looks like they rushed the update.

After the update the new snapshots videos and screenshots won't save in the gallery and I can't delete the existing photos.

The promise of clean Android and fast updates was completely broken and OnePlus has no unique selling point any longer. It's either Pixel for a pure Android experience or a Samsung for a feature-rich experience. OnePlus is neither here, nor there.

I got the fonts changed, icon size, text size, everything is a whole mess, lost forcing specific apps to be on dark mode, personalizations on small details like the battery symbol gone... this is now OneLess , will take a couple of days to adjust everything again and it will never be the same as before, although in my country we don't have 5G yet the option for 5G is gone

Updated yesterday... I'm into mobile filmmaking and now in Filmic Pro and mcpro24fps only one primary lens is available... NO 10bit is supported by 3rd party applications (even Open Camera)... Apart from the mess: most apps will certainly have to be updated... I'm experiencing Instagram and other video/codec programs failing to launch or post or smth... and last (at least for now) but not least - there's a huge disappointment in what they did to the camera app - switching from 1x to 3.3x and to wide is gone after you start filming... it'r a rocker now. Oh, almost forgot - the phone is OP 9PRO and it's an OxygenOS 12 :))). FINAL VERDICT: well, the could've waited till it's optimized and polished, but year Christmas came earlier and with a HUGE surprize. One last thing to remember - can't get rid of the Google slider bar (with Discovery - you can actually turn it off, but you'll still have the annoying extra page on the left) ... so long, fellas!

Since I updated the OS to Android 12, the phone dialer is missing and I cannot get it back, have done all the possible troubleshooting.

Maybe ColorOS will be installed on new phones, while Oxygen will get updated on the old ones.

5g is not working and crashes phone when enabled. Additionally they couldn't fix it for all beta and public beta versions. I believe fix will not come shortly.
