italy needs money, they dont make many shoes or clothes anymore. and no, I am not joking. there was a time not long ago when italy ruled the shoe industry and high end clothing manufacturing, not only design.

all the self-serving portfolio watchers are here defending the company...it is a company not a person and corporations by their very nature are exploitative...so stop flying their flags

I wonder with the size of European countries, did they ever gave a profit of 1 billion in total to Amazon.
Everyone wants to become rich but still hate against big companies . Just because they are big.
Two wrongs doesn't make a right.

You may not know it, but in Italy there is a plea bargain. For this type of crimes very high figures are requested, then a bargain is made and the fine is reduced.

Its common people, Amazon customers who will ultimately pay this fine.

I haven't yet seen a company banned for all this. So, what's the point? They repeat same mistake ten times.

happy holidays, 09 Dec 2021they need money You are talking as if you dont need

Normaly government agencies send a warning to the company and if they don't comply, there's a fine. But with tech giants, it's always the other way around, fines are always first and astronomical. I'm not saying tech companies are innocent, but it's so obvious governments just want "free" money for their imploding budgets that even huge taxes like those in Italy cannot cover their expenses so they have to steal it. Yes, it's legal stealing, but still stealing.

                                    they need money
