12 December 2021
It was the cheapest phones with a Snapdragon 845 chipset and still one of the cheapest to use Qualcomm's current flagship chip.

Poco f1 is one of the phones with most custom roms out there, highly popular among developers. just look around more. Custom rom is all about trial and error. One doesn't make it then try the next until come to one that feels right.

There's just an infrared front camera making it faster and working in dark, rest is same as standard face unlock. Still it's way better than non-IR standard face unlock. Also no concern about security if only used in situations when fingerprint can't be used (such as using gloves).
Overall it offers unparalleled flexibility regarding unlocking your phone, till this day.

How can y'all forget the glorious IR Face Unlock that worked magically in the dark? Ah man, those were the days.

I am still using poco F1 in 2021. Here are my views:
                1. It is still an excellent phone
                2. MIUI updates are trying to kill it to push further sales of newer models.
                3. Few problems which I am encountering since a month:
                A. Phone doesn't charge. I need to reboot it once a day to charge it. It is annoying, but I feel they do want me to upgrade to newer model.
                B. Random reboots and the reboot process goes on for about 10-12 times before actually stabilising.
                C. Performance has been affected since the launch of newer MIUI. This is universal for all phones and not just poco.
                D. Battery back up is practically like an old age person. It lasts max a day if you don't disturb it. Otherwise battery drains very fast.
                E. The original charger does not charge it as speedly as the other newer chargers can. I have changed my charger.

Overall, I feel the phone is still great considering my usage.
I wish the company to not push me to buy new model. I am happy with this phone.

They implemented infrared 3D face unlock on a budget phone while Apple was still charging $1,000 for the feature. It also shows how hyped up Face ID actually is and the only reason other manufacturers don't implement it is because of the unsightly notch although Huawei did a good job of including it in a pill hole.

Its my daily since 2021. Summer.

                    Snapdragon 845, it's plenty.

                    170gbp. Armor back

Phone actually has slight issues, screen sometimes stops and have to turn on and off again. But it was very cheap.

I hv used this phone for near about 3 yrs ...and even after that it was performing really well . Just after 2 years I replaced the data cable . Rest the phone was awesome . I upgraded to OnePlus 9R but believe me there is no such differences between these two phones if you compare the prices . At a price range of 18K POCO F1 is one of the best in market ,best camera , processor , battery just missing was the Amoled display.

Very satisfied poco F1 user here. I've broken the screen twice and the original battery had to be replaced after it started bulging(maybe due to charging it occasionally with a 45 watt laptop charger), but I'm happy to hold on to it.

I know they were more costly but the prices of red magic 3 and rog 2 were pretty damn cheap too

when the oneplus 6 raised the price to $500 and the F1 remained $300, the F1 became one of the best selling phones of 2018.

Best phone for the price in its time. I'm actually really glad I chose the F1 instead of the Galaxy A50. The F1 ages better than those much more expensive Galaxy midrangers.
