OnePlus is becoming more like other generic chinese OEMs. Too fast refreshment of products. No excitement.

Remember when OnePlus had just 1 model and a T model sometime later as refresh? Now they are dishing out phones just like any other Chinese company. OnePlus seems to literally only exist in name and nothing else.

If it gonna release in February then it should have used MTK 9000 chip instead of 900.

Value for money and three year support. Winner.

I don't trust 1+ on engineering.

                            Anonymous, 13 Dec 2021So basically a rebranded Reno6-5GYeah

                            OPPO RENO 6 5G

                            but with much lower price.

There are plenty of Snapdragon chips you could say the same for. Dimensity chips perform well, but you'll never get a custom ROM. Maybe GSIs, but it's too risky if you can't find a recovery image for you phone.

Tetsuro, 13 Dec 2021Good SoC. Hopefully it will not heat up like all 1+ phones.dimensity chips are all good & efficient, they dont heat up like crazy (888 and some Exynos), ofc they can get warm if you push them for long.
800U especially is a gem, but I needed more power so chose 1200

captain fokou, 13 Dec 2021Wow. 8% more powerful It has only been about 6 months and by the time the phone releases it would've only been 7-8 months, but I do kind of agree that I expected a bit more than a 8% performance boost for the chip for the CE 2.

Also, I wouldn't be awfully surprised if they end up using a design similar to the Nord 2 for the CE 2.
