Jason, 15 Jan 2022The rest of the world prices go up to subsidise India 🤣🤣Nah. Nothing good is available on Netflix in India. And their Indian original shows and movies are the worst type of propaganda shows ever made against Indians themselves. And they still expect to succeed in India. Weird.

I wish in my country the price for 4K was $11, it is $15 unfortunately and it is too high, $11 would have been great

Even most of the Netflix movies in English titles cannot be watched by Indian Family members together as all the nude, gay, sexually explicit scenes. Only fraction of the main stream can watch such movies in India in TVs. Wheras, others are offering domestic Titles which are very sought after but those OTTs charge pittance compared to Netflix at $8 a month for 4K top band.

DonAKG, 14 Dec 2021Disney Hotstar has 41% market in India. Prime 9% and Netflix 7%. Netflix has 20% market share and Hoststar + DIsney has 20% markest share . Just a quick google search will show you that.

Great job Netflix. The cheapest plan in my country is almost 6x the price of the cheapest plan in India. Gonna unsub right after this.

480p resolution in Paid version! 2021 is almost over and soon we will be in 2022 and Netflix is still providing 480p resolution. 720p HD should be minimum resolution for Paid version now.

I want solo 4k plan.. Me and my girlfriend watch together only on a single TV.. Cant they just add 4k in every plans? Very greedy IMO

Meanwhile we got a price hike for Netflix in my country and I finally said to my partner to stop the sub (because I don't even watch Netflix, nothing worth wasting time on there, and most fun stuff is region restricted)

Still way too pricy for what other OTTs are offering. They could bring some attractive yearly subscription plans to really make a difference... Also, I do not understand why I am paying for two users, just to get 1080p streaming?

Disney Hotstar is the worst OTT ever to use with basic plans. Every time you scroll, you have to watch 60 looooong seconds of ads. Also by default, it will show at least 3 minutes of ads before consuming 30 minutes of content. That's 10% of the ads to content ratio! No wonder why it is unable to compete with rivals or grow in India.
The only plus it has is it occasionally stream sporting events and make money in short periods and go to nap when there's nothing!

[deleted post]I would say this as a marketing strategy.Amazon rose up its price so netflix is dropping it’s price.To turn in the customers to their side of course.Don't forget the population of india and people who sub to online platforms.It a way decreasing their price is free advertisement and increase in revenue.
