nikki, 03 Jan 2022Just because YOU say 5 years of software updates is overhyp... moreTo be honest, I expected everyone that came to this website to love features in a phone instead of software updates and longevity. Other people, that just want their phones to last and don't care about features (fast charging refresh rate) just get an iPhone, but here we are at this website

nikki, 03 Jan 2022Just because YOU say 5 years of software updates is overhyp... moreOk fine. I respect your opinion. I won't throw words and assume other people's usage. Remember, I'm not repeatedly talking smack about a company, it's more about criticising how others love this one feature that a company brings. The guy I was talking to, he keeps talking about Google being great just because of this software, and Xiaomi not that great. When people ask me why I don't get a Samsung or Apple phone, I tell them because they already have so much support, everyone thinks they are great and buy their products, but I just wanna buy from a company that doesn't get too much love, and importantly, not idolise companies.

You're allowed to have your opinion of course, but it's just that, your opinion -- same as everyone else on this forum. No need to be so presumptuous, and you assume too much on how others use their devices. You're a faceless nobody on the Internet, not an authority on the subject at hand -- just like me and every other poster. This website's rules dictate "No bashing - deliberately and repeatedly bashing the same brand" and "No trolling - deliberately antagonizing other brand/model users." Feel free to express cons and constructive criticism, but again, don't presume to put words in other people's mouths.

Non-availability of premium Google phones in markets like India is a non-winner for me... Asus, Sony and Google have consistently ignored this market for few years now. Apple and Samsung know that hence every version they sell comes here hence they lead the premium market segment here and make huge profits. They are even making phones locally which gives them a big advantage over laws and taxes applied over imports.

And plus, you act like software updates are a godsend. When I bashed Pixel 6's value, you said "Good luck finding 5 years of software updates on any other phone", this is such a hyped topic it's not even that great. First of all, Pixel 6 has 3 years of updates, just like Samsung, Motorola and Xiaomi (newer models), and it has 5 years of SECURITY updates, which is just 1 more than what other phones offer. So Pixel 6 is not even that ahead in terms of software, and here you are acting like it's the reason for your existence.

Like Android authority said, every phone nowadays has a great camera, it's hard to find one with a bad camera. And plus, what are you going to do with your phone other than take occasional selfies? Do photo editing? Nah.

solided, 02 Jan 2022Yeah and no charger included for a 900 euro phone. 😆I bought a s21 ultra and had to buy a charger, it ridiculous paying over £1000 for a phone and then have to order a charger for it, but more and more companies are doing it now??

Googl pixel 6 is the only phone that could have replaced the love of my life HTC U11 and I'm glad I bought the Google pixel 6 cause it is a brilliant phone and if it gives me 4 and half years of trouble free experience like the legendary HTC U11 then I would be more than happy

If you check reviews, they are very mixed. Some are reporting excellent battery life and very few issues at launch.

For someone like me that would be not.

Different users means different experiences, but for a heavier user the Pixel 6 Pro battery could be better, it is not bad just "meh".

The Pixel 6 is the better buy than the 6 Pro.

I was one of those who did receive the December patch and my phone is running great now. The December patch is paused now because Google needs more time with it but what problems there are can be fixed with this patch when it arrives. The roll out of Android 12 on these new Pixels certainly wasn't perfect but the phones themselves are fantastic value.
