How about 2x lossless digital zoom? When a Quad Bayer 48MP sensor gives you everything you will get on a regular 12MP sensor plus a whole lot more, what really is the point of sticking to 12MP?

Good for iphone users. They can finally use 48MP camera of 2019 budget phone redmi note 7's camera.

i hope they will also let us copy files to comuter just using cable and copy paste to computer.
i know it is hard to implement but i hope maybe they will succeed in 2022.

... more96W charging for a LAPTOP is nothing groundbreaking. Also batteries are massive compared to phones. It's not even the same thing. They don't provide such fast charging for phones because it would degrade battery too quickly.
Only reason all the Chinese vendors flash at everyone with high charge speeds because they don't care about your experience the moment you leave the store with new phone. If battery degrades after 1 year, they are banking on that so you buy a new phone from them. Not that anyone who chases specs buys twice from same vendor. It seems like people jump between brands for every new phone...

This doesn't necessarily mean that the field of view is narrower (i.e. Higher magnification), but it may also indicate the sensor itself is larger.

I don't know why people expect that to be a norm when most phones below flagships don't even have regular camera that's half decent and they want a mega zoom optics because it's cool and actually useful for about 5% of users.

I still feel 48mp is useless when compared to 12mp resolution on same sensor size. Don’t know if it has any benefit when taking 2x or 3x zoom stills from same lens.
Apple is doing really well with its 12mp camera & so was pixels, galaxies, 1+ with their last 12mp camera. They were neck to neck in comparison.

So finally decent digital zoom at 2x? I'm glad that Quad Bayer sensor is finally coming to iPhone, but to be honest, this is long overdue.
Hopefully they'll provide a toggle to switch between 12MP and 48MP modes, as well as a proper manual mode this time around - their current camera UI is quite complicated and I believe some of the modes and options (e.g. Night mode shutter speed, default exposure offset, image contrast) can be offloaded to a separate mode that is dedicated for more advanced user controls.

Thats the fact. Try asking random girl with iphone, and you would find that they dont understand what you are talking about. These people like to suffer itself by using outdated hardware from what Android phone has for 3 years, as long as it has apple logo on it for mirror selfie.
Also you did mention most of Android don't deliver 3 big software update, so deep inside you realize the existance of some Android device with great software support. For example, Samsung even still give software updates to 2017 Galaxy S8.
I am not an apple hater, since i also use macbook pro. But i personally prefer Android phone from samsung, because i want a phone with ability to sideload apps whatever i want, same like my macbook pro could sideload apps from DMG file. Why samsung? Because samsung is the only one Android with longest software support, and it has great UI.
