It's about software for majority of people and Samsung and Apple have an arsenal of products that they sync with nicely. For example I use my Samsung phone with my Samsung buds and my Samsung TV and my Samsung Tablet and they all sync great and I can touch the side of TV with my phone and it will show what's on my phone screen on the TV and I love that function. It's the same with Apple if you have an iPhone, an iPad, an iMac, AirPods and all that then they all sync perfectly and just work together. If you have no other devices and you just want a phone sure Xiaomi is better but Price does not equal Value. Value is what you get from the phone

How come the people and fans can believe this kind of thing when the phones themselves aren't even officially launched? I'd rather see ratings like this after the phone was launched.

No apple phone have this in price of 300.
They cost 700+ new devices and doesnt offers even 10% of above.

For 160 bucks redmi 10 have 4/128GB disk version with better CPU cameras battery charging speeds and screen.

But Huawei were quality and price
Maybe bit expensive but aslways with best cameras.
Even their midrangers have a lot better cameras than most other companies put in high end midrangers or low end flagships.

As other have said A+ from display is meaningless
Every time OnePlus got an A+ rating then there is a wave of display complaints with green tint etc
And here is the funny thing DXOMARK gets a lot of crap for their camera ratings and although nobody talks about it
DXO mark has the best display rating system, unlike on GSM here where they basically give praise to OLED just for being OLED
Thier test really show the gap in quality between them

They'll have the 2k screen in their proper flagships which will be priced very high. The Xiaomi 12 is more like an entry level flagship and they have spent more on the cameras this year so they need to make savings elsewhere to keep the costs under control. I think it's a good tradeoff as i don't think 4k is necessary on a 6.2inch phone. A local CSOT screen is also significantly cheaper than a top level 1080p+ Samsung one

Color consistency of grey backgrounds isn't perfect and the display is kinda reflective.
Oh well you get what you pay for when buying Xiaomi, nothing more nothing less.
The only thing that Xiaomi can further do to improve their smartphones is to improve cameras in Poco devices and the ability to uninstall poco launcher.

Reduction of battery sizes, getting rid of removable battery tech/3.5mm jacks etc were 'pity's'. Not rolling back to an unneded overkill of tech which hardly results in 5% increase in productivity while killing battery almost 40% faster than fullHD (arbitrary numbers) considering even 23" monitors are still fullHD these days. We're only talking about ~6" screen, which IMHO should just stick with fullHD until there's a breakthrough in battery tech leading to 1-2 days screen on time with full usage, then we may even go 4k for the miniscule increase in productivity that it offers, but until then 1080p needs to be the gold standard for sub 6" screens.

The mi11 ultra is basically priced on par with the S21 ultra and iPhone 13pro max so it mostly boils down to personal preference rather than price in Western markets. In China there are huge taxes on imported phones but even in China too, the Xiaomi 11 ultra was priced higher than Vivo, Oppo and Oneplus flagships so there is no real price advantage for their flagship phones at least compared to other local brands. Of course for price performance ratio it makes no sense to buy a foreign branded phone in China. Flagship prices are basically similar from most brands these days. They all want to succeed in the high end flagship market as that is where the high profit margins are. Anyway, will be interesting to see the price of the Xiaomi 12. Expect that it won't increase in price from the Xiaomi 11 as they've saved costs on the screen

They always considered themselves ultra premium and priced themselves in that fashion as well. Here in India, if one could afford a Huawei, it directly meant they could have afforded a Samsung Galaxy / Apple iPhone too; no prizes for guessing which way the customer turned in those cases.
Xiaomi on the other hand, has always been the TRUE VFM flagship killer. Even before OnePlus was born.
