Everyone pretending like 99% of phones with glass are shattered so they hype plastics as the ultimate solution. Well, 99% of phones are scratched even with glass. With fancy painted plastics that are soft that even a fingernail can scratch them, they'd look even worse. But muh glass shatters. My god that annoys me so much.

This way apple can control distribution even more than it already does. Getting a deal on an iPhone will be next to impossible without complete freedom on sim purchase.
In terms of aesthetics it makes no difference at this point. It already is tiny, well designed and sits flush perfectly. About as exciting as the speaker getting bigger/smaller.

they just can't, to sell the iPhone in china it must have a physical sim slot
if they do it and go through it in other markets, we will just buy Hong Kong version
which will have - like now & maybe always- two physical sims slots
