No expandable memory = buy more storage
No 3.5mm jack = buy dongle or wireless headphones
There will be some time of profit for apple removing the sim card tray, it's apple after all, the most loser/greediest company out there.

If apple does that
Samsung and few others call them out.
Samsung will be the first one to follow
Then bigger chinese companies like Xiaomi do it
After that Google will follow
And before we know it, most brands do this.
eSim has its pros and cons, I don't like it but in my country I am the minority because most people by far want as quickly as possible eSim on all phones here.
Oh well...

Read the article.
"However, even if Apple does launch an iPhone without a SIM card slot, we could still see it offer a version with a physical SIM slot in countries where eSIM service is unavailable."
And this is just a rumor ffs

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2021I believe the reason is to either reduce costs or make the ... moreYeah it is likely just to make way for more components, as phones these days bring added features every often and internal space being always an issue, cause a lack of, or a presence of a tray does not help them increase profits significantly so they don't have to risk removing it and Apple will likely put a plausible explanation for it as well, in case they do remove it because without that no one will buy phones with a removed feature

And that sets the new reality for other brands to follow suit like it did with removing the headphone jack and removing the charger in the box Sad but true, the others will follow, no matter how much the customer disagrees.

Personally I think this is the right direction, it would free up more space in the phone + no more frustration to put the SIM correctly.

They propably introduce another version with physical sim support, but in 2023 will be more Telecommunication company's that support e-sim. Either way apple will push again the industry to this direction.
