I'm a little curious, as Sony's feature list is very different from any recent phone I can think of.

My two best phones for the year based on my budget are the Samsung A52 and the Poco X3 Pro.

hi im a samsung galaxy A52 user and im suprised to see it on the list , well its been like 5 or 6 months after i bought it , which was right after it was released, the performance isnt rlly great as the sd720g isnt that powerful at all . The camera is absolutely amazing, detailed shots , beautiful colours . The main reason i bought my A52 were the 256gb storage , and 3.5mm jack . Me being a student and a little ytuber , i love making videos , the camera quality + 256gb + 3.5mm jack = perfect for me . Its a really good device , the battery is good , im very satisfied. This is my first time using Samsung and wow OneUI was amazing, clean design and lots of useful features. Im thinking of upgrading to S20FE but maybe ill wait for S21FE . This is just a lil review of me using the A52 lol idk why i wrote it here but yeah . Happy New year

As photography fan, I use Vivo, as it's the only Sony alternative with hi res sensors on top.
I may reconsider my next one as folds looks promising now with new sensors, wish Sony did tho, their dseehx tech is enjoyable. Will have to wait for apple, as at Sony they think they are competing with them.

A52 is actually very good. Using one. Mine is 8GB/256GB option. Pretty fast. Camera is decent. Battery life is superb.

Akashraj, 03 Jan 2022The intrusive ads shouldn't be there in the first plac... moreThe ads subsidise the cost of the phone. Samsung also placed ads in One UI. The difference was the customer can turn the ads off in Miui if they find them annoying but not in One UI although Samsung has reportedly removed all the ads.

I turned all the ads off after a week of purchasing my Xiaomi phone and I haven't seen a single ad in Miui in 2 years.

As an happy owner of Pixel 6 Pro, I totally agree with the Tensor talk. At least it got a better support on terms of updates. But some AI and Tensor exclusive features might yet to come with following years (and yes, they might get ported to some other models as well).

Also it seems like an error margin with all of those HW faults is kinda high, but personally I was lucky and mine doesn't suffer from those.

Also not everyone can install custom roms and if someone goes through custom roms that itself is the acceptance that miui is bad. Their hardware to price ratio is amazing. That's it, their software is terrible.

I know it's not straightforward and the editors could have some brief descriptions at least on their pages, but it's something.

by far the most ”balanced” and down to earth list. for me, the best line was:”To be perfectly frank, were it not for my job, I probably wouldn't be overspending on smartphones”. people starting wars about IOS vs android, nitpicking about useless stuff. samsung A52S+galaxy buds 2 was at 300 euros for black friday, hard to beat that.

Pixel 6 is better than the Pro, 95% of the features at a much lower price.

Also, almost every reviewer on earth, puts the Mi 11 Ultra, POCO F3 and Redmi Note 10 Pro in pretty much every list. Because they deserve it

People like to attack Xiaomi because they are in denial that their more expensive phone is getting outperformed by cheaper ones from Xiaomi.

BUT MIUI IS BAAAAD with ADS!!!! - but you can turn them off, also custom ROMs exist.
