walkman8, 03 Jan 2022I don't get it why almost every reviewer puts mi11 Ult... morebecause you are literally judging the Mi11 Ultra by its battery performance which is dumb. It has one of the best camera setups which is hilighted by one of not the biggest camera sensors in a phone. Its screen is amazing, the build is amazing, it has extra gimmicks like that small back screen. Also the battery performance which you criticize is easily offset by the blazing fast charger that Xiaomi gives its flagships and midrangers.

walkman8, 03 Jan 2022I don't get it why almost every reviewer puts mi11 Ult... moretoo much components compared to oneplus 9 pro

I don't get it why almost every reviewer puts mi11 Ultra on the list? And every one of them lauds its battery endurance which is actually terrible for a 5000 mah capacity. Even a 4500 mah op 9 pro beats it in every battery drain test.

That was a good and interesting list compared to Ivans.

No nexus weren't better than pixels.. specially the last few ones. And this design, I actually like it. It feels like a fresh air, from the back at least.

Let me tell you something. I have enjoyed reading this favourite phones of the year series since I started reading gsmarena 3 years ago. But I still don't know who the reviewers are, only their name from the article title. All the images inside the article are from reviews or news articles. It would be nice to see the face of the reviewer in their top phones of the year.

Budget phones at last. I'm not a hardcore gamer or photographer so I don't spend gross amounts of money on a phone. But I can't do without the headphone jack so it's budget phones for me.

good choice and i am quite like this.

Mi11 ultra has lowest endurance among the QHD phones in real usage.

Gladly next gen ditches rear screen.

                      Zen8 is not good

                      1) back panel is gorilla 3, many cheaper phones have GG4, 5 or even 6.

                      2) base has 6GB and 6 means ddr4x . The ddr5 starts at 8.

                      3) usb 2.0

                      4) no 3rd rear camera, not even a 52mm

                      5) the 88h score is disappointing if you consider it has smaller 5.8" FHD 8bit panel paired with 4000mAh.

Even pixel 6 is better deal if you get lucky enough to have one bug freen unit.

                        Hi,
You mentioned the Zenfone 8, Poco F3, and Redmi Note 10 Pro without mentioning them using the same troublesome OLED panel as the S20FE. The Poco and Redmi especially took lower quality panels and suffer from green tint. The problem is made worse after using the devices for a few months. The Zenfone 8 has user complaints too but since it sold so little, user reports are lesser.

Both xda and the telegram channels are filled with user reports about the panel being subpar.

Poco X3 Pro is another poor device. People are reporting their device suddenly dying off for no reason and the custom ROM devs have found the PMIC on the phone to be responsible. The issue got so bad that in India where this phone sold the most, there was a back order for spare parts as the service centres were overwhelmed with returns.

The European version is spared the worst of the PMIC issue but suffers from another very bad issue; ghost touches. Xiaomi have used two different panel suppliers and Tianma panels are very likely to experience ghost touches. They do repair the device when sent for service but the issue is a hardware fault so it comes back after usage.

I understand your lists are made by impressions formed in a week or so of usage so not blaming you, just making people aware of a serious flaw with these devices.
