dgg, 03 Jan 2022everyone crowding the 6.1-6.2 space and looking like apple....crowding? there are very few phones in this segment, it's actually about time for phonemakers to launch phone with not so exaggerated diemensions.

Not interested at all in 8gen1 or 888 phones.Way too inefficient for a batter-powered device.The 870 i can deal with,but not without a headphone jack.Overall it's just another skip from me.

as a mi 9 SE user, i like compact phones, so 12x looks a good upgrade option for me

SD 8 Gen 1 is the biggest concern. Flagships on SD 888 already have a serious thermal issues and respectively - quite poor battery life. Unfortunately SD 8 Gen 1 in this regard are even worse.

They should have make 12 Pro camera configuration into 12X. Or at least 14 mm IMX 707 + real telephoto (80 mm+).

And Xiaomi has won me over with MIUI 12.5. I found it the smoothest and most optimised among all the android UIs I've used (One UI, Oxygen OS, Pixel and MIUI). I will replace my crap Oneplus 8 that struggles to even clear notifications with Xiaomi 12 pro this year.

Recently Lei Jun stated they will try to become No 1 smartphone manufacturer and there is a lot of sense producing devices with size similar to iphones. Hopefully the price of 12x will drop down to something more reasonable as 300 Euro. I am very excited for 12 and 12x, but since I don't need processing power, I will not pay big money for a specs I will not use. If those devices are popular, maybe they will start releasing small form factor Redmi phones, but if I have to be honest, I doubt it will happen. Most of the people want big phones, I don't know how their hands have mutated to use them.

Pls mix 5 and mix 5 pro with large and small screen and ip 68
Would be nice to see also to see a mix 5 small screen snapdragon and dimensity 9000
Personaly i don't play games so i will chose a mix 5 small screen with dimensity or lower procesor
also add this ip 68 maybe like an option
I have a mix 2s and this is the best shape and screen size

There is already Mi in Xiao'mi' so why the useless repetition? They took a good decision IMO.
The SD 888 has a Cortex-X1 core and better GPU, the D1200 is closer to SD 870 performance, the better node won't help with that.
The fact the D1200 has Cortex-A78 cores and get beaten by SD 870(Cortex-A77) in Geekbench is a disappointment.

Same price as the Xiaomi 11 pro and Oneplus 9pro which both basically beat it in all aspects except size (subjective), shutter speed (for the Xiaomi 11 pro. the OP9 pro has equally fast shutter speed) and the new processor which probably won't make a lot of difference to most people. No real upgrade on the Xiaomi 11 too. The screen is far worse. It's a noticeable downgrade with a far cheaper and inferior local Huaxing optoelectronics screen. Also initial reviews suggest it overheats a lot (similar temps to the Moto x30). Still, for anyone who wants a relatively small screen phone it is a good overall option as there ain't much competition

overpriced
