Whilst flat sides might look good (subjective), they are not ergonomic (objective). 2. What percentage of people do you think use their phone without a case? LMS100PA, 05 Jan 2022oppo phones' chins is killing me :) You can actually tell how cheap an android phone is just by looking at the front, water drop notch? check. Thick bezels on the sides and the chin? check. And that's not even looking at the back. Manufacturers need to cut corners since budget devices don't provide a ton of margins, unlike flagships. That's why they make them as cheap as possible to sell a ton, to make margins.

I'm not fan of flat sides that dent into your hands anyway, curved back and sides are more ergonomic.
