ٍSadly, I'm still going to move to M1 Macbook Air. This is simply not nearly as efficient. I wish Windows would have found a way to adopt it but I've already waited 2 years..

HaterzSuckkkkk, 05 Jan 2022I think you're misunderstanding this. The CPU of th... moreAlderlake has gpu also, not as powerfull as m1 max though.

I saw alderlake at 25W cinebench score and it did beat M1, so i wont be suprised at all if Alderlake beat M1 even in efficient.

I'm curious about the G series honestly... would it be a 12 core chip?
4P+4E? (For example: P cores for i7-1265G7 would be 2.9~5GHz, E core are 1.8~3.7GHz. TDP of 28w with Intel Iris XE with 108EU?)
      DREAM. CHIP! Please Intel~?

The CPU of the M1 max only consumes 30W. The GPU consumes 60W.

On the other hand, the intel core i9(which is just the CPU, btw) consumes 45W, which is 50% more than the M1 max.

It may beat the M1 performance-wise, but not efficiency wise, which were what Apple boasted about.

fanboyssuck, 05 Jan 2022hopefully this will be a competent m1 series alternativeMaybe efficient is doubt, but perfomance wise it will be better than M1 series.

X86 is holding human progress as hostage.

Imagine if RISC-V was as wide spread as X86, there would be 2 dozen companies competing bringing hundreds of designs year on year, there would be furious competition that if you don't innovate, you won't survive.

But since we don't have that, we have Intel AMD Duopoly comfortably controlling the market with their 10% annual improvements, which is compete BS.

stability and speed. sounds good. I wonder if the laptops that use these will have PCIE 5.

LPDDR5-5200 RAM? Well that's a bummer. I'm expecting LPDDR5-6400 RAM since Android smartphones have been using it for a while now.

hopefully this will be a competent m1 series alternative
