Ha... moreThey did not change any strategy, all the problem came from Samsung's 5nm and 4nm fabrication, which are less power efficient than TSMC's two year old 7nm, let alone their 5nm that is used for apple's SoC. The one to blame is semiconductor shortage

Also, generate more heat.
You will never be able to overheat those simple phones that use octa A55 for example.
Congrats to all those that want this power just because of games. Demand same power of computers inside a small sealed cellphone.

Wongwatt, 06 Jan 2022So they’re going to stop deliberately slowing their phones down?not again with that story. Samsung was doing it for years, and not for the right reasons, usually pushing an update just before the next model release, that crippled the performance.
Oneplus was doing it because Chrome needs to stop crushing your battery. I had the s21 ultra at the time and wished I had a way to turn off the prime core while in Chrome.
Oneplus mistake was that it didn't give you an option to disable that feature

I would just work on efficiency, the Snapdragon 8 gen1 is a hot and power hungry chip, don't make it even faster, it will burn our fingers.
the last Qualcomm chip that didn't burn my fingers is the 855.
If I was Qualcomm I would sell the chip with the motherboard and cooling system together. OEM's don't give this too much thought and I'm sick of it, if this years flagships don't do something about cooling I think I'm gonna try IOS 🤮, that 14 pro max battery life is crazy and I don't understand why Android can't have that, ok it's not optimised bla bla bla, ok, put a bigger battery, but noo.. they give us fast charging, that heats up the ohone even more 🤣
