everybody tries to chop down the biggest tree in the forest. samsung got to the top by offering great quality and innovation. their devices are always at the top of their class. they make great devices for every budget. what the hell is wrong with that?

No. Samsungs not going to get that. Not they r gonna be no.1 for long time. Because they are already started overpricing their phones which is a bad move that was made by all topdogs nokia,motorla etc., and now they have realized and started making their products reasonable. And apple and sony who r leaving with overpricing are not gonna last long and knowing it they are planning a lot for lower end. So if you wanna proof of sammy going towards bad attitude , compare the specs and price of lumia 620 and galaxy s3 mini.
Many of u may say nokia is lost but u know its not the first billion smart people thatr made this company. Nokias got the next billions of medium people where samsung cant even keep its stick on

Wow that's a lot of plastic. Will samsung going to collect all of those garbage when those phones are already dead? I mean if an average phone is 125g multiply it with 350mil, thats 43,750 tons of garbage plastic and 40% of those will be batteries.

2013 won't be a good year for samsung mark my word. HTC will hit the financial market big time and Iphone 5S will become a hit. Motorola and Sony will be recognized. Rise HTC Rise

So Samsung expecting to own around 40% of the smartphone market... that's a bold target... If this is true I would love to know what they expect from HTC, Sony, Nokia, LG, Motorola, RIM and all this small Chinese OEMs... If this is true most of the other companies have file for bankruptcy... Not a very likely scenario for me.

Anonymous, 27 Dec 2012You got to be kidding, google can stand alone regardless of... morenot really sure it can mate..try finding out how google makes money and what percentage of its profits comes from android..google NEEDS people to continue using their search engine, their mail and their maps..this gives them more info on people which makes their targeted advertising more successful..
if google hadnt reacted in time and started developing their own mobile platform when they did, they would be in the same place as yahoo right now
