It's not just people who want the cheapest iPhone that are interested in the SE; it's also for people who hate notches or punch-hole cameras. I want to say there's also a niche market for such a small device, though it should be noted that in this case, the iPhone Mini exists.

iPhone 8 Plus has 2700mAh battery. If Apple could use that chassis for next SE coupled with A15, it would sell.

It is all just business decisions

You're gravely mistaken about why people buy this.
Not because of money at all!
Some people (prepare to be shocked in your little bubble life!) Love the design, the physical button, the touch id. Not emerging that's new is better. The former form factor had many benefits.
The fact the screen is not trying to do everything (with the price of a notch), with un-intuitive gestures and supposedly futuristic stuff.
The physical button, not all screen way- is a favorite for me.

At least Apple should reconsider on reusing the 8 Plus body. That has a much larger screen and a much bigger battery than the 8.

Apple can just use the same design as the regular 8 and place the fingerprint on the side so that the phone becomes even more compact. But it's fine too the way it is already.

iPhone SE 2020's battery is so-so, and then now with 5G...???

I think when the pandemic hit, everyone suddenly realized that having touch id was better than face id (unless you also have an apple watch). So, having this outdated design may feel like its a letdown, but this design is a classic, no doubt.
