QHD would be enough for me, but it is hard to find a phone with a decent spec list with a clean-ish version of Android and expandable storage with a headphone socket.

Z, 03 Mar 2022all video cant play now, Youtube insta facebook's vide... moreHello all, same problem here in Xperia 5 iii, android 12, playback frozen, especially when recording in 4K with HDR enabled. 2 weeks already.
Restart, record and playback will freeze again after one try.
Problem persists after factory reset AND software repair through Xperia Companion as suggested by Sony Greece.
Phone already in authorized service technicians, who I doubt they would accomplish anything further. Awaiting their update in two days time, reverting.

Xperia 1 iii after android 12 has so many bugs one of which is so annoying ,it won't record video on the normal camera app ( not cinemapro ) it records but all you get is a still image and sound, the phone needs restarting alot twice three times a day because apps freeze IE Instagram , YouTube,
Anyone else having these issues?

Nothing new on the XQ-BC62 except Google's ugly UX. Despite having hardware that could do far better, it still has virtually no 5G support and all the usual bugs remain.

Updated my Xperia 1 III (XQ-BC52) to the Android 12 (61.1.A.1.149) over the weekend and happy with it - no issues or hassle with the update itself or afterwards.
Kinda boring, actually...

I love my 5 iii. Just the right size and plenty of speed. Tried the Pixel 6 but too big and returned it for my trusty Sony. Looking forward to the update.

but since i cannot get the experience i have on xperia from other makers, i buy online, imported from hk...
there are still some "small group" using xperias in the ph, some goes for the 1ii or 1iii... but others went to older used models...
