Anonymous, 11 Jan 2022LOL 🤣 Samsung Fold 3. Big and bulky 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣🤣Err, Find N is actually 4gm heavier than the Fold3 with both having almost same thickness when folded. If we take into account the smaller screen sizes, Find N is a less efficient packaging.

Honestly, I wish they would release it in the global market. There isn't any competition for Samsung right now, so they are able to keep the prices jacked up high and we're going to need competition if we want foldable devices to ever become affordable options for the average consumer. TCL's foldable that they showed off could do that, but one brand alone is not going to be enough competition and Motorola flopped.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2022Samsung had 3 generations to perfect their foldable but the... moreYup, and I'm a huge Flip 3 fan but Samsung blew it. They've actually been working on foldables displays since 2008 and showed it off in CES 2011. They finally release the Fold in 2019 and still never got it right. The outer display for both Fold and Flip are still too awkward or useless. It still has a deep crease.

Oppo Find N is the best foldable design out there.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2022I would also get Oppo Find N rather than the Galaxy Fold 3 ... moreSamsung had 3 generations to perfect their foldable but they failed to capitalise on their lead and gave only incremental improvements to each generation. They never solved the most obvious problems that everyone saw a mile away: the airgap, the crease in the middle of the large display and the weird form factor. They've basically squandered their lead and will be playing catch-up from now on.

Oppo is #1 here in Indonesia it would be a shame if it wasn't for sale here. Can't stand I see Z fold so expensive here at almost $3000 (30 million rupiah).

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2022Why give the phone to international reviewers YouTubers but... moreThey're letting the whole world know about their foldable because it's a a technological showpiece for them. Besides you can still buy it from overseas and the Google Playstore works on the China rom.

I think that the form factor is done right on this phone. most people would want an approximate 5.5" when folded, and a larger display (obviously) when opened.

I think that the form factor when folded is more important than the form factor when unfolded to most buyers - which they would be more likely to forgive, whether it is oblong or square, for example.

If you want a foldable phone, then you probably want it to be compact when folded, and big when it isn't, thus you truly do have the best of both worlds.

After all, it wasn't that long ago that most phones were 5.5" on average, so that isn't exactly "small" either, realistically.
