Is Realme 9i stable for gaming?

    Anonymous, 10 Jan 2022The S20 FE are flagship series, not "upper midrange" Indeed, except it uses hardware from the high end devices so in terms of hardware the comment still stands.

      JoXim, 10 Jan 2022So basically you have like 10 devices?! I lost my count...Indeed, it's my hobby playing around with mobile phones and selling them on when the play is over. It's my only hobby so I do indeed spend some money on it but as sell them on after a month or two the total cost is reasonable.

                  But same games you can run them with sd 660/665/662/680.

                    90 Hz screens on realme phones are useless, when all games and few apps don't even run on 90Hz due to Realme's cap...

                        I don't think this is a downgrade, you get dual speakers 33 watt and bit faster ufs 2.2, but you have to live with a lot worse gpu (more than 50%), and less efficient cpu (a73+a53 4+4 high clock speed), and gpu (11nm).

The other 9 models ... moreLooking at the Realme 5i only received update from Android 9 to 10 and not in the list of devices receiving 11, the Realme 9i likely same will get one update to Android 12 only. Realme saved on development cost but users will be screwed.

                                Been there done that, Devs optimise more for SD and that's the main reason.

                                Other chips are capable, but if stuff is not optimised for it, they will just have worse performance overall.
