And realme Xi is more about battery life than gaming phone.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2022The S20 FE are flagship series, not "upper midrange" S20Fe is not flagship but highend/upper midrange s21U or s20U is flagship.

For phone to be flagship it's should be best among its peer.

Honestly, the processor used in this phone is waste for even basic gaming. Phones at 120-150$ are providing helio g88 having much better than this in terms of performance. This is not recomended for gaming.

One thing that irritates me the most is - A successor phone in the lineup using an inferior SoC than the previous phone in the same lineup. In this case, Mediatek G96 in Realme 8i Vs SD 680 in Realme 9i. SD 680 is way behind MTK G96 in single core performance, which is simply unacceptable.

Agung Prabowo, 10 Jan 2022I think it's just vietnam price which is higher than o... moreYes, as a Vietnamese and living in Vietnam, I can confirm this to be true. Smartphones' price from brands like Vivo, Oppo or Realme mostly got a very high boost in price. For example, in India, the Realme 8 5G capped at $215 when here in Vietnam, it is sold at 3$00. Or the Realme 7 which was priced at around $200-ish also got boosted to almost $300. Not sure was that because of the tax because the Redmi Note 10 Pro still sells at the very same price as it was released internationally ($270 I supposed). That's why most of us Vietnamese Gen Z-ers prefer exported phone from China like the Realme GT Neo/ Neo Flash/ Neo 2T, Xiaomi's phones like the K40 or online selling phone from Poco like X3 Pro/ X3 GT and Poco F3 or at least a Galaxy M62 rather than phones from BBK like these.
Addition: Most of phones in Vietnam are overpriced, the very few exceptions are the FE series from Samsung or Xiaomi's phone.

Each time I read some comments it is loaded with silly comment on how bad it is and each time other, often more expensive devices are used for comparison.
I have the Realme 8 (oled), the Oppo A94 5G (oled) and the Reno 6 5G (oled) and I'm extremely satisfied with what they each can do. Sure, when looking at the OS they all resemble each other (being from the same major shareholder) and you could argue that they lack proper identity compared with when they launched. Nevertheless, they all perform well, keeping their respective hardware in mind. The realme 8 has a very long battery life with medium to heavy usage but isn't that snappy with his basic mediatec hardware while not being slow either. The A94 is a lot faster, snappier while not blazing fast and the battery is also good for one day of extended usage, not with heavy gaming though as it will lead you to charge again before the end of the day. The Reno 6 is the best of the 3 but also a bit more expensive and while the hardware doesn't suggest decent performance, it certainly does that with a very good autonomy for an in between battery format on top of it. All 3 are very well build. On certain levels they are better than equivalent devices from Xiaomi. Agreed, the Xiaomi ones have more customisation features and a nice gallery to select themes, wallpapers and so on but they lack the OS stability of the Realme/Oppo ones. I'm not saying that the latter are examples of stability, they do glitch sometimes, but certainly much less than my Xiaomi devices (Note 9s, Note 10 and 10 Pro). Also on software support I can see that they are improving as compared to a year ago. To me these are great devices as long as you keep in mind what the hardware is capable of handling meaning that I'm not comparing them to much more expensive devices such as my S20 FE or even my iPhones.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2022 20 FE Snapdragon 865, 120Hz refresh rate, 12MP ... moreExcept for the price then...difficult to compare an upper midrange device with upper entry device, isn't it?

I think it's just vietnam price which is higher than other countries. Smartphones in Vietnam is much more expensive.
