Android gaming phones are relevant only if they're current.
I've red magic 5G and my PUBG squadmate has rog phone 3, both are problematic in nimbus island hotdrops about 6-7 out of 10 landings while teammates with iphone 11 and ipad 2020 (non pro) face this issue only 1-2 out of 10 landings. And the friends with newer 12 and 13 series iphones or pro series ipads don't even know this problem exists.
PUBG Mobile is a single thread heavy game, disable anti aliasing and even a SD7xx series GPU (adreno 618) can handle the graphics part at 60fps at HD
but the processing part, iphone's single core performance has always been atleast 2 generations ahead of best chipsets from Qualcomm with better efficiency (that iphones can maintain Performance without heating up or drawing as much power).
And ram usage I don't know how PUBG utilizes 12-16GB of ram because it's always loading enemies skins from storage and even there iphone's nvme storage does it stutter free while on android with UFS there's a stutter when a roaming enemy squad closes in enough that phone has to load the skins to ram.
