The S21FE is fine. Only the tech bloggers bashing it because they get free units, and they think S21 is better.
Well, yes, S21 is better, but they are getting harder to find as well. And in many countries, the S21 prices are still more expensive than the S21FE, if you can find them on sale.
Samsung is not stupid. They have been in the business for decades. The pricing of the S21FE is as such to be the "cheaper" option when the S22 launches. There are rumors of price increases for the S22 lineup. Having the S21FE close by is perfect for people who are more budget conscious. It still carries the Galaxy S flagship brand, along with the features and software update.
And if you prefer buying the S22, even better for Samsung. You just decided to give Samsung more money. Aren't they smart?

I'm from Europe and here the S21FE is a whopping 926 USD!

Its only called the "S21 FE", but only in name. Doesn't have much of the features that fans want, also its a major kick in the nuts to be more pricier than s21 lmao

Maybe the thinking behind it is that the s21 will stop production when s22 released.
So "forced" either to pick new s22 or the s21fe for the "cheaper" option of flagship type phone from Samsung

S21FE 128GB is $250 cheaper that the S21 128GB here in Oz, not including any discounts.
S22 models will likely settle into the same price points. Making the Pixel 6 128GB the main competitor.

W/O the expandable storage, this model also didn't offer higher capacity of 512GB & 1TB storage. Imagine if you need to fly for 12 hrs and wanted to put in a few UHD/FHD movies to watch on the plane, the 256GB is super limited! Arrived at destination and want to take some videos of the place, you need dongles! (OTG ext storage)

And for SD slot the memory is good enough and anyone can use cloud storage if needed.

S21 FE sales will be good for the first month due to pre-order perks of discount and free gifts. After that, demand will die down due to people waiting for S22 series instead. Expect significant price slash after 3 or 4 months.

That phone should be called S21 Fail Edition because it lacks what fans want like expandable memory and a headphone jack. Worse is that the regular S21 is cheaper and the S22 series is coming in a few weeks.
