They see "LCD" in the specs and instantly start raging how it's "ancient technology". I wonder if they consider miniLED displays "ancient technology" because it's ultimately still just an LCD... I bet they do. And they pretend we are just clueless and know nothing even though I personally used a phone with OLED display 12 years ago when most users didn't even have smartphones for the most part and now I'm again on LCD and I just couldn't care any less about it. I also had smaller phone with 1080p display before my iPhone XR and I still couldn't care about resolution of XR. It's that good that I just can't complain about a single aspect of it.

You people are the sort of people who buy GeForce RTX 3050 with 24GB of RAM because 24GB of RAM is better than 10GB which means this graphic card is like over 2x better than GeForce RTX 3080 with ONLY 10GB of RAM. Yes, you're literally THAT sort of people. My s**t iPhone XR with "only" 3GB of RAM can easily take on any 6GB Android. And those brand new iPhone 13 with 6GB easily go against any 12GB Android phone. It's not us being some stupid fanboys of Apple, it's literally observing what iPhones are and how they perform against Android counterparts with MOAR OF EVERYTHING.

What's your implication? I don't understand your point at all. As I said, adding more RAM or using better hardware won't make an iPhone or any phone unpolished; it will make it a better phone.

Lmfao. Billions of people bought this ? Where do they live ? I don't see my neighbour or my dog using this phone, if it's so popular that almost half of the Earth's population bought it 💀 where are you getting these fake stats from ?

In any case, if that 2MB hardware can be proven to work better than 2GB, then sure enough even I would be willing to choose it over the latter, no joke.
Besides, it's practically true in most cases, right? Similar to how 64MP cameras of budget Redmi and Realme phones aren't necessarily guaranteed to produce better images than 12MP cameras of flagships. But hey, high numbers can really sway you easily it seems like, so nevermind what I've said. I know you'll just find something to hate on iOS users again.

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2022More RAM is better than less RAM. It's common knowledge. It is a fact, but it doesn't apply when comparing two different platforms where RAM usage is vastly different.
iOS is well-optimized by Apple to run efficiently on Apple hardware, hence iPhones can perform well even with less RAM than Android counterparts.

Still, it can easily compete with Android flagships during its time in the areas that truly matter to all consumers, mostly in performance, camera, audio, build quality, and battery life.
You kept on whining about that 720p display like it's the only thing that matters to you. Well, according to billions of people who bought this phone, NOT everyone really needs the best of the best, and this is still perfectly fine for their use cases, hence why they bought this phone.
On the other hand, your 1440p Galaxy Note 9 is struggling to last for more than half a day due to excessive power draw from that barely noticeably sharper display, and that's already with a bigger battery, LOL.

2017 phones were much better? Who are you kidding? Perhaps you are comparing it against the top-of-the-line Android flagships during that time, so of course the XR won't win against them. But that's just how good the XR is, that you have to compare them to the best of Androids since the mid range Androids will just get crushed by the value for money that the XR offers.

But you are so wrong with the sentence "who would buy 13 mini when the larger screens cost only 100$ more?" Because if everyone was thinking like you we would all end with a 10 inches tablet in the pocket... if it still gets in.
Some people just like smaller phones whatever the price is. I would be happy with an iPhone 5 form factor embedding borderless screen of 4,7 instead of my current SE2 inheriting iPhone7/8's design.

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2022The iPhone XR was never even a flagship LMAO. Not even in t... more"It was never even considered a flagship" that just made it even more ridiculous, that a NON-FLAGSHIP iPhone is easily beating out 2018 Android flagships in raw performance, and it needs to be compared to 2021 Android flagships for it to get beaten. Wow.
Like I've said multiple times already, NOT everyone needs the best of the best. Your old grandparents with weaker vision may not even be able to discern a difference between 720p and 1080p, and perhaps not even care about any, so the XR's display is perfectly fine for them. On the other hand, those grandparents often don't know how to close apps or browser tabs when using their phones, so a phone that could stay stable and fast even with plenty of apps running in the background is highly necessary, and I doubt any 2018 Android flagship can do that, while the XR can easily do so even with "just" 3GB of RAM.

Anyhow, it's really safe to say that the iPhone XR is a wonderfully made phone by Apple. It is extremely good in almost every aspect in the sense that you really need to stress out the 720p IPS LCD display just to find something bad against it (and even then, there are actually many people who can easily live with it, you Fandroids are just overacting so much like it's already the end of the world because of the 720p display).

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2022I don't see anyone using it here so I doubt anyone is ... moreI believe they are still being manufactured today, but it is considerably less now as Apple is prioritizing their newer models.
