yea your right its still young, i mean the PSP compared to N-gage, you can't even compare them, the PSP is just so amazing, its portable gaming experience is turely like no other and imagine if SE somehow managed to make a ok sized (well N78 is a manageable size) phone with gaming buttons and a large LCD say about 2.6 to 2.8 and high res and gave it the PSP gaming experiene man that would be amazing......but it does come back to your point SE is still pretty young and we gotta wait for the future but after my PSP i have stoped playing FIFA on my N95 8GB as to me its nothing man compared to the PSP, oh and PS3....man thats my baby, nothing i mean nothing is like a PS3....

look you can't bring in PS3 or PSP here, their not in the phone, i always hated PS1 and PS2, i was always a nitendo fan, but as like alot of people i love features more than anything so i bought a PS3 cause undoubtly its amazing man and i also bought a PSP lite or PSP 2, the PS3 i bought around a month ago and PSP around a week ago but i've had my N95 8GB for over 6months, i agree sony itself is amazing, i got a DSC w50 cyberhot, not top of the line but great at its price and i got a sony DVR handycam, i love my sony's but when ever i pick up a Sony Eeicsson i can't see a tiny bit of sony in it, Sony and SE are differet big time, just cause the PSP was amazing don't mean that the SE phones are amazing, i mean the sony walkman....the ones that have 3minute charge and run 3hours....man their sound quality is way better than any SE walkman phone i've heard and i've heard...SE W810i, W950i, W700i even W880 was nothing like sony's own walkmans, so you can't say that because sony has other great products that its phones rock, man samsung are great in LCD monitors and LCD tv's so are sony.....but their phones are different hardware and different people.......

In some countries the PS3 already outsells the 360. The PS3 without a doubt has the most untapped potential, while the Wii and 360 I believe have already reached their limits. It is a very interesting subject in my opinion, but nothing to do with these phones so I will shut up. :)

well, look on Japanese or Korean sites, hat kind of phones are there in use and you will see, that nokia has nothing new, they are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar behind them. even SE has in Japan a phone with optical zoom, GPS... which was out a few years ago, but that phones never reaches europe or america so we don't know much about that phones.

and btw, the original playstation was designed by Nintendo.
another thing to note, today, Playstation is loosing the battle against Wii and Xbox.

Sony is in the game from the 60's they came b4 nokia may be nokia is better in making cells but dont tell me its better than sony in entertainment who created the Playstation1,2,3 the most popular video console of the century who created PSP the most advanced potable gaming device 'till now and in terms of making cell phones they're the fastest growing company ever yes it had some bumps in the road but who didnt see what sony acheived in 6 years no company could do that nokia is in the buisness from the 80's and until the end of the 90's it get recognized it took them about 20 years to get noticed but bravo they keep the good work and they deserve No1 but dont underestimate sony tell the facts as i did dont deny that Sonyericsson has added a special taste to the mobile world and the competetion became harder thanx.

@Waqas: Very few of your points are actually true. In reply to your points:
These phones are low-mid end phones and not aiming at Nokia's high-end N-gage phones. They are aimed at entirely different markets. SE is aiming at people with not a lot of money, but who enjoy mobile games. N-gage are aiming at people who have a lot of money. Anyone can see this. These phones don't compare, so don't do it.
N-gage is king? Are you serious? N-gage was and is a complete flop. They are trying to grow the brand, but its not happening. You can not ever call N-gage a king of portable gaming. That title must be reserved for Nintendo, whose Gameboy consoles have sold extremely well since the original many years ago. Even now the DS sells better than anything else on the market.
SE phones change just as much as any other brand do. Nokia and Samsung and LG and Motorola can all be accused of this same thing, but in reality it is a smart idea. They are keeping up the same look, called a brand image, so that people can instantly recognise their phones when seen. This way if the person likes the phone, they know what brand to look for in stores. And what does this mean? More money. Smart.
Sure the K850i wasn't that great. And yes the N82 is widely considered the best European camera phone. That is all true. But to be honest with you, no camera phone yet can be considered a good camera. They just don't compare with dedicated cameras. Its all cheap stuff that is such bad quality you wouldn't want to print it.

There is no doubt that somewhere along the line companies copy each other, you know that companies did follow nokia, nokia took the risks and others followed, ok i'm not saying that nokia never compied, they did, they copide slim phones idea form moto but so did every other company, but nokia were always the first to raise the mp's, ok maybe not now as se has leaked a 8mp but untill 5mp nokia was always first, GPS,Wifi,Symbian,Dual Slider,Dual Speaker surround sound, Large LCD, all these were first implimented by nokia and than everyone followed, even n-gage was a massive hit and now n-gage 2 can easily beat any other mobile platform, nokia designs are great compared to other companies like moto, samsung, even se, i mean se have the same crap design in menu and built they had for the last 5 years, man the w810i which is even older than the K800i is better than both these phones.....its got that game where the guy flies which is shown on this phone and anyway the games are java, which means crap, the w810i has even got a 2mp auto focus cam.....so in fact its better than these phones and its like the same price if you can find it, man nokia al the way

5. If you like Nokia's style better, then good for you. I respect that, but it does not mean that this should be everyone else's choice too. I myself prefer SE's style and I would expect anyone else to respect my choice, as I would respect theirs. You can call these phones by SE ugly all you want, but for the amount of haters out there, there will be at least twice as many who love the style , just as I do. :)
6. Actually the W980 got a pretty good review. The N78's review was worse in my opinion. GSMArena said the N78 is a "love it or hate it phone" Which means there will be very divided opinion on it because it has some weak points and some strong points, some of which will put people right off it. The W980 had a great review. A friend of mine is very keen on the W980. You must remember that these two phones are not comparable either. The N78 is basically a smart-phone, while the W980 is not at all.
I welcome your replies, and I hope you can keep the immature fanboyism out of any arguments that may arise. Cheers guys.

People say nokia have the worst keypad and worst desing with worst features,then tell me why is 3310 still the most reliable phone till now,why is 6600 the best phone ever,why N-Gage is still considered as the best gaming phone till today,why 7610 is still the most stylish phone ever,why did n70 n73 beat the hell out of every mobile phone company and these mobiles are still bought and sold like gold,why did n95 and the n95 8gb win over the whole market with so many defects like poor battery life and all that,why did n82 beat n95 and n95 8gb with the most smallest keypad and the worst desing of all times,,,,,,,,,, you all know Nokia is Nokia cant compare it with Sony and Samsung and other companies
6. Now lets talk about the sony w980 phone and n78.w980 is rejected before its release and i can see that it has sooo many defects(as the GSM ARENA team has writen i guess the most in an sets)while n78 is a demanded phone even before its release

hello sony fans,i dont want to burn you up but this is so much i could not resist,et me share some real facts to you so that you may know the company u love so much is y in the 5 spot
1. These mobiles are new and are not yet released also!!!!and they are trying to bet a mobile released in 2004 N-Gage.4 years difference.Come on guys is this a joke or what fighting against the old nokia technology against new and cant make better,you know they have again copied the old same modle of sony
2. Nintendo and PSP against the old knig of games N-Gage,2 against 1,what a fight and now add this mobile so becomes 3 against 1 and still dream of beating the best,made me laugh
3. Sony phones have the same keypad,old desing with some new colours,that 100 cm memory card in all mobiles,small screen,no new features(just one or two doesnt make it the best,thats y NOKIA is 48% of market),two audio/video formats supported,same 2 mega pixel in all phones(excluding 5-6 mobiles)
4. Sony has got the only 5mp phone (k850i) which i thought was a 3 mega phone with the most dumbest desing of keypads and scroll keys and u guys still say it cool while nokia has soooo many desings and so many cool options but you still somehow find a defect and say it a stupid unperfect phone from Nokia
sooooooooo much to go on my friends but time does not permit me to do so.You all know the truth thats it.Or just dont scroll down the page read it then tell me if im wrong or not
