iPhone would save more battery than Xiaomi cuz it's constantly switching to suitable Hz.

I love apple products.. infact I have been an apple user for as long as I remember.. not iphones.. but their ipads. Before that their ipods..I just said something bad about a particular apple product which doesn’t justify its price and there are better options available. I still believe 13 pro max is the best overall flagship phone available in our market. See.. what is going on here? I am not a fanboy of a particular brand. We should all be fan of products and not a brand.. but you seem like an apple fanboy who got triggered and meddled in other’s debate..

Hello Life, 18 Jan 2022My friends literally bought the XR 3 years and sold it off ... moreI don't know what kind of inferiority complex plagues all android fanboys that you keep on spamming all the Apple posts on this website, trying to prove that android is better than iPhone! Why bother spitting out numbers that mean nothing? If a phone works perfectly for somebody, it does not matter what kind of numbers it has in the spec-sheet.

I don't know what kind of inferiority complex plagues all these android fanboys that they spam all the Apple posts on this website! As a teenager and during my undergraduate student years, I liked and used to experiment with android phones but with time I believe nothing beats having something stable that would work perfectly. The last android I had was Galaxy S9, I tried to love it but I simply could not. I never bothered to keep the resolution at 2K because it would drain my battery that already struggled to last a full day (Ultra saving mode was amazing though that would run just basic apps and phone could last for 2 days easily). Anyways, there was a very minor difference between 1080p and 2K modes. Multitasking became useless as the phone aged. It still has a great camera and with some processing and editing, can definitely rival the best photos out there, but that's where the good bit stops. Video is a potato in comparison to iPhone or even an iPad. It can take ages to just open camera app and gets really hot while using it. No to mention, even music sometimes stops playing when I tried to open camera app as it would try to turn off all background tasks (all this while there were no background apps running).
I love the design of S9 and wanted to use it more but it just wasn't reliable, in fact all the androids I have used before have had some kind of issues. I got iPad Pro M1 some time ago and there's no doubt that it has no competition in tablet market. I have always loved pocket sized phones and was kind of disappointed when Apple did not put 120 fps on 13 mini but I still bought it for its size and on day-to-day basis I never notice whether it's 60 or 120 fps (while using iPad). The phone just works perfectly for me and that's all I care about. It easily lasts me a day and a half, takes great photos, best at videos and is perfect at whatever it does and I know it will still run the same even after 3 years of use. Another thing, access to apps only available on apple devices such as garageband and polycam is a huge plus for me.

Hello Life, 18 Jan 2022My friends literally bought the XR 3 years and sold it off ... moreWhy do you people always assume I bought a 3 years old iPhone XR today? No, I bought iPhone XR when it was NEW model back in 2018 and I own it for 3 years and counting. And I'll continue to own it because it's still holding up great, I get software updates and there is literally no reason to replace it now or in foreseable future unless curiosity for new model gets me or something breaks.

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2022Except it's really a 830p display with very accurate c... moreMy friends literally bought the XR 3 years and sold it off 2 years ago.. It feels like a decade in technology world. I am not saying keeping a phone for 3 years is bad.. but buying a 3 and half year old phone.. which itself felt outdated at launch.. can be attributed to one and only reason. It's Apple.. and most XR buyers in 2021 bought this,,, for very reason. The reason is.. this is the least expensive iphone with notch design. I bet if Iphone 12 series came without a notch and some other design, the prices of XR and 11 would have fallen more drastically. See iphone 8 plus was also a very good phone.. but it didn't work 1-2 years after launch because it didn't have the new design.. what would others say? The guy can't afford a newer iphone?

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2022Except it's really a 830p display with very accurate c... moreFirst.. 832p or not high brightness or not.. high color accuracy or not.. its inferior to HRR QHD amoleds any day every day. Nowadays amoleds dont use pentile matrix but diamond matrix to compensate for subpixel count. Samsung amoleds can get very accurate as well, just a button away.. again some option is better than nothing.
Second thing..don't know about other markets but Iphone X launched at 1lakh in India. Within 6 months it was selling for 90K with card discounts. When the Iphone XS launched at 1 lakh and XR with 70k+ price.. by that time Apple already stopped selling iphone X, and most retailers were clearing stock for 75K. You might think iphone X at 5K more is a better deal.. no it was not.. Iphone X had only the steel and amoled display going for it... XR had more colors.. better battery backup, camera, speakers, newer and much better processor.. and a bigger display as well.. A12 was so powerful.. infact it is still now.. I play BGMI on my ipad 8th gen.. and it never breaks a sweat.. A11 by contrast inside iphone X is much worse
Third.. You can literally put Gcam inside 200$ phones and they will output better images than your XR. You are behaving as if I havent seen XR closely.. 3 of My friend and 2 of my relatives had XR at some point.. and I have compared and played with them thoroughly. It's not that I only go by specs and judge a phone. At 34,000 now.. it is still over priced.. Infact iphone 11 should be at this price now..

The resolution is perfect for its size. Secondly, if iPhone X could be obtained for XR's money, people owuld buy X instead. You're delusional that you could buy X for same price, because you couldn't. X was way more expensive. I've taken shots at dusk with XR and the photos are still very good. With any other amazing mid ranger of today they'd be all smeared and looking like an oil painting. Now I also have NeuralCam cam that uses neural engine to snap photos in near pitch black darkness.

And for saying I have no clue, I've used SuperAMOLED displays before. I've also used 1080p displays before. It's all same s**t to a point I just don't care about that, it's that irrelevant thing. All high end phones have displays so good I just don't care. I'll eventually go back because all new iPhones have OLED now and so do all other high end phones. Not to mention resolution of LCD and OLED is not directly comparable pixel per pixel count.

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2022bad? in what ? care to explain ? curious want to know ur po... moreHow many you want? First it was LCD.. admittedly it was a very good one.. still it is 720p. It's not good enough for the premium it was asking at launch. 700USD.. 1000in my country. For 700 bucks you could buy the Oneplus 7 pro, S10 and even the Iphone X.. and all these had much better displays. Second.. It had only 5w (now zero charger) charger.. which took 3 hours+ to charge the phone. It had an average camera setup without Nightmode. So any pictures after 5PM was pure bad. Not to mention the bezels. Now it's upto personal standards. If you have never used a QHD amoled panel.. you might think, yes the XR display is good.. but at that point I was used to s6 edge, s8 Plus.. So when I saw the XR, the display felt inferior to even galaxy s4 from 2014.. and after using s8 plus, I could notice the low res display instantly

They are NOT the same thing. Games may run at 97 fps but display may be locked to 120Hz at that point. And if the game runs at 55fps the display will be locked to 60Hz. Is that the case or are you not sure exactly?

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2022AFAIK, you have to set the refresh rate to either 60 Hz or ... moreNo. Because it depends on how much FPS app can run.

Many games are locked at 60fps by their devs.
Even if your screen is 240Hz (like Sharp Aquos Zero 2) , it works at 60.

Non-LTPO like S21/5iii/Mi11 will run between 60-120 according to the app being used.
                                  This includes 61, 64, 72, 88, 94, 108, 112, etc ...

Gsmarena made clear during the reviews that for videos the screen remains 60Hz but jumps to 120Hz while using internet browser when screen is set 120Hz.

sa11oum, 17 Jan 2022This isn't true at all. If the app only supports 60, ... moreI think you are misunderstanding something (or trying to defend some-thing/brand), LTPO and VRR are kinda similar but also different.
Monitors (laptop/PCs, etc) even if 60 Hz can be set to lower RR (eg: 40 Hz, etc).
Even phones with non-LTPO panels can refresh at different frequency (30/48/60/90/120, etc).
A good example of this is that of some Xiaomi phones (don't know which exact ones due to their terrible naming).
By your logic if a 120Hz panel always refreshes at a locked 120Hz even if the app only supports 60Hz, then how can you refute the claims of improved battery life at 60Hz??
