Only difference being that by then everyone would adapt an under display camera so there will be no more notches and punch holes
Everything else has reached it's peak so aside from a new chip and more megapixels for the cameras, there aren't gonna be any crazy things happening anytime soon

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 17 Jan 2022Why is there no SE+?It's been rumored for a long time but personally I don't think we'll ever see it. An SE Plus would have to be based on the iPhone 8 Plus, which means it would get a 1080p panel, dual cameras, very long battery life. Such a device at 499$ would eradicate sales of other iPhones. Apple isn't in the business of cannibalizing their more expensive offerings.

iPhone 5s with A7 was discontinued when A9 was the newest.
iPhone 8 with A11 was discontinued when A13 was the newest.
iPhone SE 2 with A13 will be discontinued when A15 is the newest.
This year (2022) in Fall they will discontinue the iPhone 11.
Next year (2023) in Fall they will discontinue the iPhone 12 and 12 mini.
In 2024, instead of discontinuing the iPhone 13 and 13 mini in Fall, they could release an iPhone SE based on the 13 mini when A17 will be the newest chip (currently in early 2022 it's the A15). At least that could make sense from what has previously happened and is supposed to happen this year.

R...Hunter, 17 Jan 2022Don't know what appltis on💨🌬️ but if I wanted a small ... moreBut OLED is more fragile than LCD and can get burn in. Also, the minis are still much more expensive than the SE. And some people just prefer TouchID over FaceID, especially with masks.
