If the rumors of the 'mini' variant going away are true then I can see a future SE based on that form factor being a thing in perhaps another couple of years, but not right now no. It would just be too expensive.

        In fact I wouldn't mind betting that Apple would indeed be looking to kill off the mini for just that reason, to reintroduce it as an iPhone 13 mini featuring an A17 soc (or whatever is the current soc at that point in time) for around the $400 price as some point down the road.

                This upgrade is just to make MagSafe and 5G standard on all iPhones, nothing else. Just a minor spec bump with no price increase.
