anon, 02 Jan 2013I think far too rationally to ever be willing to pay for so... moreSame here, I have a good job and can pay good dollars for media entertainment. But when I can get something free without any real risk I will get them free. You know why? Because I'm rational and realistic.

suchal, 02 Jan 2013u don't save, you steal. you do injustice with us, we devel... moreThe truth is that most apps and games are so bad and/or useless that even if free or pirated they are not worth installing. And why should we support every kid who want to be an app developer? Make something work is price and you will earn enough despite of a few sideloaders. Or, go out and find a real programming job, the pay is very good for those with real skills, like myself i may add.

The harder Apple tightens its grip on its ecosystem the more star systems will slip through its fingers.

Hot discussions on morality.... The fact is the most of paid apps are not worth a single cent. In ten thousand games only 10 are worth paying, in a million available apps only a couple of dozens are really useful. Despite of developers' efforts. You can conclude that only after installing and uninstalling a few thousands of apps for which if you paid, your phone's cost would be dreadful. It seems like the evil piracy is the medicine to the sofisticated robbery. So developers stop complaining please, the real good stuff is too rare in any platform, don't try to create our 'needs', we actually have clear needs, if you can't succeed go find a real job.

I see little point in jailbreak or this method. Anyone is better off on a rooted Android for true customization. Mind you, I actually pay for my applications, and I feel for the developers. I was very disappointed with Apple from withdrawing support for my 2nd generation iPod Touch, which I can't even install apps I paid since I can't upgrade to iOS 4.3!

The only thing I would use this for is apps I can't get in my countries app store. Like Google Voice. It's not available for non-US Apple ID's. I have Google Voice set up, I just can never use it on my phone.

I confess that sometimes i might sideload apps (though im not an iOS user). yet if i really like an app id buy it as a support for the developer.

Only big companies can create free apps with ads which saves them enough. with ads we will be earning only few cents in a months despite working more than any salaryman.

I think far too rationally to ever be willing to pay for something I can get free without any real risk. Getting free apps, movies, music, books, tv shows, console and pc games, etc will easily save me 10's of thousands of dollars in my lifetime.

That isn't to say I need to do so. I have a good job and indeed could pay for media, but it will never be in my own interest to do so.

I know many claim it will kill the industry but for every pirate, there are plenty of people who will always be swayed by an arbitrary concept of 'morality' and give them money.

I am grateful to these simpletons because they allow the rest of us to continue to benefit.

and you say in ios there is no piracy! then why did 95% of ios users avoided their warranties?? just to get sideloaded apps! In android paid apps are on the rise and devs are hapy with it but always also offering ad supported free apps which are making it very very good for them!So what?? IOS users are the biggest fans of piracy ever! and besides of improving they are now the worse!

Most people would be willing to pay up if app is worth the money, however apple does not have a refund feature and cannot test apps. Most apps should promote a "free" lite version for people to test out the app, so people would be confident and not use such methods.
