The same as with photography, phones are already taking some part of that business, where you would use dedicated camera until now. May be inevitable as mobile photography gets better way faster than standard cameras, amount of users...money is just not the same.

Sony E mount Is more versatile with many many third party options readily available. Canon and their closed mount mentality is very outdated.

These tech reviewers give such bad name to high end cameras by comparing with smartphone cameras that doesn't even have a 1" sensor. I always saw those comparisons as an ant and elephant. The smartphone footages look good only when they're seen in smartphones. When you want to view the same in a big screen and watch closely, you can see many of those edited footages got noise artefacts, color fringes etc. Lack of manual controls, poor resolution by pixel binning in smartphone cameras are certainly a limiting factor in editing workspace.

Is the electronic 5-axis stabilization as effective as the IBIS? I mean for videos. I was looking forward to it. Canon traded the IBIS to bring in the fan for cooling. I am long over due for an upgrade from my 5DII and stuck with couple of EF lenses. Sony A7S3 and Nikon Z9 doesn't cease to disappoint when it comes to the features of a full fledged hybrid camera.
