I used 3 different screen protectors on my S21. 1 had Fps support and the other 2 did not. I never had issues with fingerprint scanner even when the package from the screenprotectors said it was not supported.

Vic, 20 Jan 2022SE series is intended for budget oriented customers but for... moreI guess I finally got it why and it‘s future proofing. 3G is shutting down in several countries, that means all iPhones up until the 4s will only use 2G, and the iPhone 5 will rarely have LTE because of few bands. The iPhone 5 could previously still be used for web browsing and things like sending pictures over WhatsApp. Those two things will be limited without 3G.
If they shut down LTE in 10 years, Apple would not want to have sold an A15 iPhone SE in 2024 (they keep the previous two CPU generations selling for iPhones) only to have that phone be useless in 2032 (I know saying „only“ 8 years of usability is unimaginable for Android users whose phones last 5 years at most and at that point are horribly outdated)
