Best chipset in the world. Now we just have to actually see it in ANY device... Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has been out for a while, Exynos 2200 has just arrived, we've been hearing about Dimensity 9000 since fall 2021 and it's still nowhere to be found. Dafuq?

Ill get the next android phone with the best CPU and GPU. I want the best if im paying more than $700 if im paying $1000+ for a new phone it better be a high upgrade.
Dimensity seems like itll be my next one.

Snapdragon has been a thermal disaster and it looks that it will be the same with the 8 Gen 1.
Yeah, real life you know. Whatever you believe. Because it "feels" like the way you want. I make my own benchmarks with the same conditions made by myself. And you know what. Just do 3 Benchmarks quckly sfter another. Then you see what themo throttling does. Even a Dimensity 1200 is faster than the 888 in real life.

It's also silly to compare Android vs iOS benchmark performance. Even if Apples chips are 4X faster, what good does that do if they only run iOS, assuming you don't want an iOS phone? I loved my jailbroken iPhone for many years but keeping the JB got extremely difficult. While apps were generally good, Apple restrictions removes features or without JB many things not possible. All browsers either Safari with a skin or using a remote server like Penguin. I could go on and on ... I miss my JB iPhone but I'll never go back. Apple treats their customers like children.

Performance on paper is way better i agree... moreI seriously doubt your statement that the iPhone would overheat and lag after just 1 hour of usage. What specific iPhone model are you talking about? If it's an iPhone 8 or X that you're saying, then your testament is all invalid.
The A14 Bionic had thermal throttling issues, but it did have significantly better performance than Android flagship SoCs to begin with, and Apple could simply tweak it to cap out the maximum performance in order to prevent overheating while still having generally better performance overall.
The A15 Bionic arrives and is now significantly better at sustained performance. All of those claims about thermal throttling are now mostly irrelevant, as the A15 could sustain very high performance for much longer, and this is in direct contrast to the SD888/888+ and Exynos 2100, which both struggle to remain cool enough and run at high performance.
And if the score are to be believed, we're going to see another disappointment again from the Android camp, as the newest flagship Socs for Androids fail to even match Apple's latest SoC, let alone defeat it.
As for gaming phones, obviously they all have an unfair advantage of having built-in cooling fans inside. They are incomparable overall, but even then, their maximum performance is still distant from what Apple could achieve. Recently, Razer created a MagSafe cooler for iPhones, which helps lower the temperatures by a bit. Subtle, but more than enough to maintain high performance. No wonder why iPhones really hold up well in the test of time in terms of performance. Even the A13 Bionic is more than enough to keep up against the latest Android flagship SoCs, and I really do wish I could say the exact same thing for the SD865 during that year :(((

Practice is that every half baked chinse or even non chinese phone does more and better tricks than apple.
In other words benchmark scores should not be taken deeply because they proves only innitial strength not a long time run like a several hours game sesion on a sone kind of heavy game whic require great specs such as Clash of lords 2.

the snapdragon has already been tested in one of the big name brands ,
and was compared to the old snapdragon 810 which throttled terrible.
It will be interesting to see what the other Android brands do to overcome the thermals if it possible.
