I am sure these phones are very good, but without Google services I believe 90% of people outside China would not buy them, and as far as I know you can no longer install these services on Huawei phones(this is what I have heard).

The only issue is they are expensive. Samsung is no longer pushing the limits. I guess their business strategy has matured and they have settled down.
If you're price conscious, you should look for midrangers. If you're looking for something different, you should look for enthusiast phones.
Personally I don't like this super hyper fast charging race.
I have a bone to pick with Xiaomi phones, MIUI is just horrendous (especially ram management). For the past 4-5 years I've been using their phones cuz they were cheap, I'll try different brand next time.

Great camera phones as always...Vanguard set of cameras!
Gms it's still missing but in my (personal opinion) really don't needed anymore...app gallery as grown-up a lot and for a daily user of social apps and photography I'm more than happy! Many plp don't know but many stores outside GgPlay have the same apps u want, working without any problems... Plp just talk what they don't know... It's so funny 😂
About the chipset (4G/5G) it's just so soon to decide if this really is a fail, not to have it, or not, bc many countries like mine, the tax applied on the operator implies 5 more euros to use it... To me... 5G stays out!
The price is just what u can expect from a new phone... Expensive sure... Let's see in about 3/4 months.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2022Shame the price of these gone way over priced plus no more ... moreIf AppGallery was even half way decent, I'd be all in still on Huawei, I have P40 lite as my work phone and Mate 20 Pro personal.
As a piece of hardware the P40 lite is great (for it's price), but that AppGallery, and so called alternatives to Gapps, just don't cut the mustard.
I'll use my Mate 20 Pro until it dies, then look at what's current, iPhone 13 Pro Max may be my next move, even though I'm no fan of iOS, that phone just has an amazing feel to it in the hand, and loathe though I am to admit it - it's the best phone out there right now.
Wishing for a better Android to come along in the mean time, or for my Mate to just go on for ever.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2022Shame the price of these gone way over priced plus no more ... moreIt's funny because I have 2/3 Huawei phones in house running on Google services without any problems... U have too search the web for the last easy solutions to solve that (if interested off course?).
About the one running without GgSrv, works well for me and I really don't need the apps from Google... Huawei app gallery has grown alot in the last year.
