I like the new aspect-ratio's:
S22/S22+ 19,5:9 vs S21 20:9
and
S22 Ultra 19.25:9 vs S21U 20:9
It's nice to have phones that are broader; they are not tv remote controls after all.

Smaller telephoto sensors is a negative. I'd expect better larger sensors not backwards. These should have been S22/+ 50mp F1.6 1.0um, 12mp 1.44um F2 UW, 12mp 1.4um 3x, and the S22U should have been 50mp 1.4um, 12mp 1.8um F2 UW, 12mp 1.4um 3x and 10x

AnonD-1035985, 26 Jan 2022Spiderman no way home is shot on S21 Ultra so... Really?
I feel so sorry for the team responsible to edit the footage.
Imagine how many hours to correct to extremely wrong warm colours, remove the excess of noise reduction and sharpening and the fact to deal with very low bitrates, horrible rolling shutter of Isocell HM3 and 5 minutes limit of the 8K mode.
All this while using a curved screen that has glare on edges and worst calibration of all expensive phones.
Sony Pictures is clever. This is way easier and cheaper than using those $20.000,00 🎥 made by Sony Electronics.

Kev, 26 Jan 2022I hazard against that. When I pixel peep my P30 Pro, I do s... moreYeah you are right, you can still pixel peep between even FHD and QHD, generally for me colours also pop slightly better too (my friends find x2 pro with a 10 bit panel is gorgeous to look at) Tbh my p40 pro overall is a better screen to use/read than even my QHD pixel 6 pro (i would say 1200p is optimal resolution for phone screen size and clarity of accuracy of the screen is 2nd to none)

Bit disappointed in the battery size on the vanilla S22, was hoping for at least 4000mah.

I can't believe that Samsung has sold out this bad. No SD card despite having cameras that can potentially produce HUGE Files. And a 5000ma battery is ordinary. At least this new lineup is making me glad I bought on of the last LG flagship phones at 1/3 the price!

I don't think that Sammy is going back to 19.5/19.25:9 ratio though is good, 18.5:9 would be even better. But tired of seeing those 12MP 4:3 BOXY cameras! Good knows when this thing will change to a 6000x4000p sensor!
