The one mentioned here is for UK so you may have gotten your region update that is why you have a diff baseband.

i've recently updated my S3 WITH 4.1.2 ,but my baseband version is I9300BUELK1 not the one you mentioned above.
please help me.

Your Girlfriend S2 already have an update? prolly a custom ROM. but the answer is yes, only the international version of s3(non LTE) will have this said update. no words yet for the LTE version. and flashing this official firmware on your s3LTE may brick your phone(non compatible). I suggest you wait for the update for your s3LTE. it will come soon.

Hey guys. Possibly a noob question though honestly have no clue. I got the S3 LTE (4g) model... When i go in about, there is no Software Update functionality. No my girlfriend has d S2 and she has it. I also had the HTC sensation before and i also had it. A friend who has the normal S3 (not LTE) has it as well.. I cant understand why mine doesnt...Can someone please help me?
It would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Well that's a first. bricking your phone using an official firmware... they have done it wrong i guess. i have flashed my phone several times using the official firmware and 0% brick. and yes tested already the exploit and it will not push through. like i said there's no way to know if this will work for sudden death unless you have a phone that is already dead and was able to revive it flashing the new firmware.

I don't think this really the fix. I heard some unit been brick even using this update. The only thing im sure of this update is protect Samsung side for repairing or replacing the units well if your sg3 is rooted you'll have the red exclamation on the upper left side.

Flashing your s3 using Odin with an official firmware will not void your warranty since its official. already tested mine and exynos bug is no longer accessible. theres no way to check sudden death issue since you have to wait till you end up having that issue come. But if you have an s3 that is not working now(cause of the sudden death issue) try flashing the UK firmware first using Odin and see if your phone will work once more. i believe you can still use the download method even if you can no longer turn your s3 the normal way. if its possible then try to flash the new firmware using Odin and hope it will still work.

They should all replace the unit with this kind of problem wether your unit came from network provider, samsung store, grey units or what so ever. Its still customer rights because we pay for it. Its their fault of selling defective units. All samsung store should replace the unit whether its not local samsung units because its still samsung units!!!!
I feel sorry to those who was been victim of sudden death without warranty (who bought their units abroad or grey units).

Thilina.........I guess you are misguiding people.
With this Update, the One Clik Root by Chainfire is closed, and it has locked the Exynos Exploit.
Now regarding the Warranty Part, Guys please go ahead and flash this firmware , as this will never Void your Warranty.
If you wanna check for yourself, go to Download mode, after Flashing this FW, and check where your Custom Count rests at 0 and also its the Samsung Official Binary.
As long as your Samsung Binary is Official and custom Counts 0 , you are not out of warranty.
He is relating to a Page, where the answers are to Provider based Phones, which come under Contracts.
So for every International Customer, please feel safe and go ahead.
I have flashed this and it has really ended all those
Vulneranilities that could have caused a Sudden death.

Oh son, grow up! Will you! Plastic yes, and so what? If you damage the alluminium on your so called "awesome" iPhone 5, can you replace it? Cheap? I don't think so! At least with my S3 plastic AWESOME phone I can repair it cheap ;P are you hurt butt because of the 2012 best smartphone prize? At least the experts knows whats best, plastic or not, sorry mate...
