    Many people may assume why China hasn't banned Apple in retaliation to Software export controls in Huawei.

    It's simple

    Apple recently said it will invest $275 Billion in China over next 5 years

    Both Apple and Chinese are getting a great deal here.

These numbers are also for only Q4. Android beats Apple in terms of market share when we fall back into Q1-3 of each year.

            People in China that can afford very expensive phones have always chosen to pay high price on Huawei than paying 40-50% less on other chinese brands.
            In 2020, they still had Mate 40 series to satisfy them, now only crap p50 series that is nowhere near mate 40 pro/pro+.

            Honor was never popular on the high end segment. And never will. Still seen as low tier brand like realme.

            So, with huawei almost dead, people with money are buying iphones.

              Their OCD over iPhones is nothing new. Nothing surprising about this. It is in the longterm, Survival of the Fittest(Smartest) of a certain form.

                      I know someone that used to have S5, but had also an iphone SE (original model) just to use at nightclubs.
                      Has nothing to do with iOS, the A chips or software support.

                      I can list N people I know that own iphone.
                      Only one knew the OS is called iOS.
                      Be sure the world has much more people than you imagine that have zero clue android and iOS are different OS.

                        And despite the massive nerfs they have (no noise cancellation and SW bugs), they manages to outsell the androids showing to us that Android started to be stagnant again and to make it "better" the new processors are lack luster at best.
