AnonD-46641, 06 Jan 2013So we cant flash it via Odin .. well thats a bummer :S Sure you can flash it via odin. Odin does repartitioning and everything you need for the rom. The leaked JB for S2 was an Odinflash only

Funny is, how iOS users truly believe there is no flash anymore^^ There is no offical support anymore, but if you look into the versions, you see, that flash does get updates even now. You can install flash on any JB device and it works. We can use flash, even without offical support, because it is there, it has been programmed for Android, so it will always be available, at least flash 11.1 and that should be more than enough. iOS never had flash and that is why there wont even be an unoffical flash for iOS, because it never existed in the first place. Till 11.1 is out of date, nobody will probably use flash anymore, but till then, I am a really happy and often using flash user!

Anonymous, 07 Jan 2013Yeah like ace2,ace plus, s-advance, etc.... Samsung left mo... moreFlagship devices will always get more attention from their OEMs. Ex-Flagships too. That because these devices are the ones, they sold most, so updating these devices, will reach many more customers, than any nowadays midrange and not ex-flagship phones. That will basically make most customers happy enough, not to hate them and rebuy from samsung, if they want a new phone.

Ah, S Advance gets JB, but some time later, do not know, what everybody complaints about... Samsung has more than 2 programmers and not all of them work on the same thing, some are faster, some are slower, just because s2 JB finally arrives, doesnt mean, others havent even been looked into for an update.

AnonD-97606, 07 Jan 2013Dont be foolish, you cant install a rom without rooting!!!!!!!Of course you can. That is what Odin is for. And after you got Clockworkmod Recovery installed on your S2 you can basically flash any rom and for that you never needed any root.

I'll believe it when it happens. Once my S2 dies/gets lost/stolen I'll get a Google phone so updates happen in a timely manner. Not everyone wants to buy a new handset every year Samsung. I wonder if S3 will be treated the same when S4 comes out, then the same when S5... etc Not a good pattern by Samsung, is it?

The galaxy s2. Made by samsung and used by God! So happy we can get jelly bean on our devices. I am going to update it and then sell it and buy a nexus 4 before it looses it's value and that way i can have updates fasst whenever i want!
