Adobe Flash Player work very good on android jelly bean. They just stop the update in google play for the phones that use android versions higher than 4.0.x , i dont know why. But you can still use it. You can download and instal flash player from xda-developers.com or from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

AnonD-252, 06 Jan 2013"Projekt butter" on my S3 is only "placebo&q... moreAll kinds of OS optimizations are actually hiding lags. Optimization cannot really make bad things good, it can simply hide it is bad with some tricks.

Sgs2 with the leaked JB, which is out for quite some time, works a lot better than official ICS and the only reason you dont notice the difference on Sgs3 so much, is because it always were really fast, even with ICS. So basically not updating makes no sense and repartitioning is not so bad, did it a hundred times while flashing my s2 and a few times on my s3 lte.

"Projekt butter" on my S3 is only "placebo" because my S3 is a lot faster and very much more stable on ICS 4.0.4 than on Jelly Bean 4.1.2! Speeding up the processor and adding new transition-effects to hide lag and guessing what the user will do next is just a stupid way to use "brute force" to hide bad/slow code!
"the update will be carried out through Samsung's KIES only, as it'll re-partition the memory system and will take around one hour or even more in some cases.", this is another reason why my S2 will stay on ICS 4.0.4, and I like to stream Adobe flash movies... in Opera Mobile browser!

vin1, 06 Jan 2013no baby, odin is for rooted phones. And for rooted gs2 phones... moreNo baby, you can use Odin with non rooted phones and flash non rooted stock firmwares (if you wish) but Odin mobile is for rooted phones as a phone obviously needs root access to change its own firmware without using a computer.

AnonD-97491, 06 Jan 2013You know that it's not Google's fault you're not getting up... moreActually it is Googles fault. It's up to Google to define the standards and guidelines to which Android and the phone manufacturers must comply. The anarchy and "update drama" you currently see is completely on Google, it's their responsibility to bring order.

They could have easily mandated one of two things:
                                  - Either manufacturers provide to Google everything necessary to build a ROM for their phones (which means modules, board specific configuration data, kernel modifications, etc..), then effectively having Nexus-alike support for all phones out there

                                  -or-

                                  - They should actually enforce the 18 months of required updates, in a mandatory to each manufacturer (not as a recommendation), throwing out whomever does not comply with this mandatory policy (which is already a guideline for quite a while now).
