Aierlan, 29 Jan 2022Don't think there's anything really preventing th... moreNo need to make your own baseless conclusions, just Google it.

Threat of lawsuits in US cos patent laws are super strict.
Must work with carriers that will take some of the profit for themselves, and US people in general may not be that fond of Chinese brands nowadays so the potential business for them in the US is too small for the risk of lawsuits and tedious partnership with the carriers.

So the simple reason they dont enter US market is that too high risk and too low reward, no point.

IpsDisplay, 29 Jan 2022Wow USA smartphone options are a disgrace no wonder it'... moreDon't think there's anything really preventing the major Chinese brands entering the market though. They seem to not want to for some reason. May just be for business reasons that they don't

AnonD-1035985, 29 Jan 2022Only country in the world that apple sells phones lolThat's just wrong. For example, Apple were the leading smartphone seller in China in quarter 4 2021 by a huge margin with 21.5 million smartphone shipments from October to December 2021 and 23% market share (second place had less than 15% market share). They are selling huge volumes of smartphones in China since the US ban on supplying Huawei

people buy Alcatel in US lol. I'm so sorry for Americans because they're locked in this scheme
of purchasing smartphones from mobile operators that do not allow serious competitors to Apple and Samsung.
